  • In an earlier Diaclone commercial (or Microman, forgot which), there was a smattering of the Transformers theme that I thought was kind of coincidental, until now.

  • LOL it's like a diaclone commercial except when it says DI AAHH CLOOONE it says TRAAANS FOOR MAHS!

  • Still way better then our toy adverts will ever be here in the US!

  • @BluTrilobite YOU LIE!

  • @MrSteelDream How is that a lie? It's an opinion and a well grounded one, Japanese toy adverts are better at displaying the product without having to use some spoiled, ugly children to do it. They are eye catching, creative and entertaining. To each their own then.

  • I love how the japanese and american cultures feed off each other to make transformers into what it is.

  • Now why the hell wasn't THAT Ultra Magnus sold in America?!?! The eyes lit up red....seriously?!?

  • TRANS FOHM AS!!! Oh, the bad audio quality.

  • takara is the best

  • this is what i like about japanese toy commercials. they're stop motion. not like in us, letting kids swing around the freakin toy.

  • Seriosly, TakaraTomy is soo much better than Hasbro (commercial-wise that is). I mean, Hasbro toy commersials invovles kids just rolling the toys around and transforming them, while TakaraTomy's commercials involves explosions and stop-motion...

  • @sporemancrazy Hasbro's also had the creepy green eyed "robots in disguise" kid D:

  • japanese toy commercails were so advanced than the usa were the used kids to transform them japan use stop motion amazing

  • Ultra Magnus is a white optimus prime that does not work

  • Looked like he was carrying Jetfire on the back.

  • That is Silverbolt.

Jetfire was not sold in Japan.

  • Jetfire was only sold in the US, Europe and many parts of the world though Jeftfire was a spitting image of the VF-1S from Macross (a.k.a. Robotech)

  • So Awesome!

  • TRAASFOOOAMAAAS

  • HAHAHAHA....That part made me laugh.

  • Is Magnus carrying a plane?

  • Yes. I belive it's one of the Airealbots.

  • I think it is Silverbolt because it looks like a Concorde

  • The plane that Magnus was carrying in this commercial is an Arielbot Commander named Silverbolt.

  • trAnsFORmERS!

  • His name was God Magnus in japan :)

  • NO IT ISNT HES CALLED POWER CONVOY

  • The toy shown in this advert is called Ultra Magnus, and is a product based on the Diaclone Powered Convoy toy. An homage to Ultra Magnus, named God Magnus, was released for 2000's TransFormer Car Robot series.

  • ultra magnus is just a repaint of optimus prime...

  • Very good. You get a cookie.

  • -_-'

  • lol...nice expression!

  • That's because he was supposed to be an evolution of Convoy (Prime) like Galvatron was an evolution of Megatron. Japan went in one direction and did this, but the U.S. went in another and made him a separate character.

  • Fantastic! I like it how they did the effort to use stop-animation.
