  • un dilettante simpatico.Un vero cantante di YT.

  • keep up ! cheers!

  • The high notes are a bit to weak, but all in all great!

  • good, but share your heart with the audience. Give them a smile and greet them from the start ... to the end ;)

  • good, but share your heart with the audience. Give them a smile and greet them from the start ;)

  • Excellent job! Beautiful. Thanks for sharing

  • goood!:-)

  • Great Young voice! At your age don't worry about the comparisons to great tenors only to sing with your voice and to make your voice beautiful. I can really tell that you have so much extra "noise" in your head while you are singing. You have to silence those voices and allow the voice to do what it already knows how to do. You know technique you have to now make a leap of faith and trust that in that silence your voice will do exactly what you want it to. It has to be as natural as laughter!

  • BRAVO!!! Thanks for sharing!☺

  • Felicitari draga George!

  • The tone needs to be brghter and more open on this one. I suggest place the voice higher and less in the throat to make the resonance more free. Perhaps more of a smile and not such an open mouth. I enjoyed it - the voice is such a good instrument.

  • The road to mastery is long. Some things are in place. Keep working and avoid pushing, especially n the mid to low range.

  • My dear, you have a beautiful timbro, but not to imitate the Italian opera singers: an optimal teacher of Italian dizione looks for and studies so much!

  • Excellent! Keep up the good work.

  • This is very good! Bravo!

  • Thank you for sharing your beautiful music with me.

    ----------Ellen

  • Nice emotion. Watch the pitch and keep working. You have a very nice talent, let it grow naturally, don't push. I enjoyed this. Best wishes to you.

    Claudia

  • Well, after reading a few of your comments my good friend George,....i've come to realize you need more work, more polishin' that BEAUTIFUL Voice of yours,...well, me i'm no critic, but i must tell ya, LUVIN' this performance of yours as much as the past ones,...thumbs up to ya good buddy and thankin' artalirica for the AWESOME share! = )

  • Something is lacking, George, but I can't put my finger on it sinceI amnot a teacher.. I think you have the potential of a nice voice but not for the operatic stage...keep working, though...

  • @MrSammyscroll haha... he has the potential for sure to sing operaa...problem numero uno is the rep! too too big for his age problem 2. Technique but it is improving.... his high voice needs help just like any other young tenor

  • super

  • you don't really have the timbre for this rep. my suggestion would be to sing bel canto rep for a few years and coach it with real bel canto scholars...and it wouldn't hurt to only hang around italians for a while. i think it would help your diction, phrasing, and eventually will help when you're ready for the bigger rep. just because you can sing heavier rep like Calaf and Pinkerton doesn't mean the voice suits it at this time. have patience and keep learning. it's a great instrument.

  • well you sent me this video and so i will give you my opinion.

first the good. very good musicianship and instrument. you MUST continue with your studies. polish polish polish.

ok now the problems...but only because i care about this voice for some reason.

dude, what's with the shadow vowels? yes Pavarotti and Bergonzi had them...but you're not them. it breaks the flow of the phrase i.e. stops your voice. (continued).

  • Nice voice but still lots of work to be done. go ahead!

  • OK. Thank you for having the courage to share. It's not easy to open yourself up to total strangers' criticism. I suppose I will refrain from giving you my suggestions unless you specifically ask for them. Best to you.

  • Thanks. Pleased you sent me this. Keep up the good work.

  • Too bad I live thousands of miles from you, George....I'd like to borrow your fine accompanist. (: As for you, the makings of a first-class tenor. Several others have suggested you back off for now, take the slow & easy approach; I agree, because once you get past those little intonation, pitch, and pronunciation problems, the ring in your tops (Italians' so-called squillo) will put YOU near the top!

  • I enjoyed thanks for sharing.

  • George, you´ve got a nice voice but, I´d like to make some small observations:

    1. Get to the vowels sooner specially in your comfortable range, ie. Addio its not Auddio. You´re gesticulating a bit too much and that´s bothersome for those who speak the language or know the piece.

    2. Don´t lead the music with your body or arm, it´s very distracting.

    3. Get into the meaning and without over acting, at least strive to convey feelings: Ah son vil= Ah I'm evil.

    Beautiful singing, lovely high notes!

  • Dear George,

Thank you very much for sending me your beautiful rendition of 'Addio fiorito asil'...

Keep going, you will get there, because you LOVE IT.

God bless & remember...God helps those who help themselves...and you're doing it!

    All the best,

    Diana (from Australia)

  • Very nice! ... but your tone tends to SPREAD, a bit, in certain passages; maybe it could be controlled, better. ... For comparisons, we can even go back to Caruso, et. al.

  • Your voice is very constricted in the upper reg. Also, you need to work on your chiaroscuro and the 2nd formant. Where is your larynx?

I like your pronunciation, really good Italian. Good squillo.

  • INTONAZIONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Very beautiful. Congratulations, and keep sending me your videos!

  • Bravo!

  • Well done!

A littl' bit too fast IMHO, but who am I (= non-singer) to give lessons to a singer?

    Yours,

    AdL

  • Excellent - Bravo.

  • Thanks for the video, I would have no problem listening to you, you obviously are still learning & I believe you should keep at it & who knows where it will take you. Good luck in the future.

  • Awesome! loved it :-)

  • Very nice i like your tember :)

  • ncvn

  • Nice rendition!

  • George, you are beginning to own your talent..the apple tree is covered in blossoms

and the fruit is beginning to ripen. Your voice can be full, rich and exciting to hear

especially in such romantic and lyrical music as Puccini has written in Pinkerton's

famous aria. Keep your mind on what you are doing...focus on your desire to

express the glories of music through you voice and communicate that glory to

an audience. Never forget that the true star of the show is the composer you

    serve!

  • Makes me feel better about my school recitals on violin. I also played out of tune and was technically challenged. Of course, I only played 2 recitals ever. I would suggest a heavy dose of Schipa, Gigli, Caruso, etc., like I listened to Kreisler, Thibaud, etc.

  • Sure, he had pitch problems, in this setting of piano and small room that often happens. I believe he has that aria in him, but he got nervous and tightened. He should next time rest his right hand on the piano to relax him, to remind him that it is his friend and is on his side. I know it's simplistic but I believe it works. This is a golden voice, I hear it. An Artist is not born overnight, he is young and will work at it exactly like Luciano did.

  • Most importantly: breathe. Deeply and fast. Then you have the certainty and stability that you will make the phrase and "top" notes. Relax and think of carrying over the vocal line or phrase on your cushion of breath. Trust these simple facts: deep breaths which support the tone.

  • Bravi !

  • elightful thank you for sharing

  • I assume you want my feedback since you sent me an email about this video. I studied with Horne's teacher for 15 years, that may or may not persuade you that I have some knowledge and insight. Messr Dragomir's virbrato is too slow; that means his breathing is off. He sings flat sometimes. His lower register is weak. He is insecure in the bottleneck (passaggio). If he found a good teacher, he could become an excellent tenor. He has a good ring on the high notes.

  • Bravooo !

  • Thank you for sharing! Great voice! I'm a tenor too. I wish you the best.

  • Romania has produced more than its share of great opera singers - possibly because the language is so similar to Italian. This guy indeed has a lot of potential but his high note at the end was not good. Puccini wrote phrases such that the singer leads the listener's ear to a climax. If that climatic note isn't good the whole peice is ruined.

Maybe he should pull back a little in the beginning so as to have more at the end.

  • bravo mi amigo,muy bien¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡

  • Bravo!!!

    *.*:)

  • beautiful gret song

  • So dull and plain this melody... Not a masterpiece by Puccini. Paradoxal is that in the same opus he created such a miracle as "In questa reggia"

  • @MrMikeo2010 "In questa reggia" has always seemed less inspired to me, and it's from TURANDOT; the aria sung here is from MADAMA BUTTERFLY, and I agree with you that it's not top-drawer Puccini.

  • Do not understand why temordrammaticitm2 shared this video with me...

This "tenor"has no musicality, either goes ahead enter too late, his intonation is either sharp(at the end)or flat (between phrases) and what is worst is the way he makes his way into Italian opening all the vowels in a very vulgar way.

    the last note(high B flat)is a shout not a note.

If this is a family reunion it is ok...if not please advice him to try a different career.

  • @Liu666able I see that you cannot show some respect! Mister Dragomir is a very talented guy, a very good voice for the future lirique of Romania. He is a very good tenor , a spinto one, a very musical guy, a very working guy. He improved very well . He is in a great evolution . He sings better than tenor which are hired on big Operas in Romania, so you shut up ....

  • @Liu666able George has a great potential! He is working hard and that thing is very clear here...you dont know him singing about 2 years ago ...he was not good, but he is going now in a better way. You are a very bad person .... your words are not encouraging him to nothing ...always when you do some critic may that critic very constructive ....not words like try different career. George is awesome! He will be one of the best tenors in world in several years from now on ... I am veru sure!

  • @thenessundorma I believe that your right in a matter of years the world will know of your tenor, look at L. Pavarotti, in 1961 debut, the critics were so-- so! with the future Opera Star ! We shall, wait and see, about this young man, with the powerful voice. ( from, America ).

  • @Liu666able You are mistaking .... George is a very talented and he has a very great potential doing this ....opera singer. He has a powerfull voice and a very good one,so ...sorry! You cannot change our opinions

  • @Liu666able Even if he has not a very good tehnique, he has a great voice and potential ....he will find his best way of doing this job better and better, trust me. Bravo George!

  • @Liu666able This is a very young tenor who obviously wanted encouragement. The voice you must admit has a great timber and while there were issues, there was also traces of a great voice. Maybe if you encouraged him to sing more Mozart and to continue working; you wouldn't sound so evil. Something made him send it to you so why not sow good seeds!!!

  • bravo!!!!!

  • Bravo, bravissimi! Il piu grande Pinkerton, bravo

  • Che bella voce!

  • PUCCINI TENOR - GVD!

  • Great material!!! Great voice ....Huge voice, well done

  • Bravo George

  • Repertoriul asta iti vine manusa desi iti cere si mai multa tehnica! Dar sunt mandru de tine, buna treaba! Bravo

  • Great Puccini tenor!

  • Frumoasa voce,bravo

  • Great rendition! the most beautiful interpretation

  • Bravo George, te imbratisez cu drag, Dea

  • Noi suntem fostii gvdfans....suntem in continuare alaturi de tine chiar daca nu ti-am mai lasat atatea comentarii, timpul este foarte aspru cu noi, dar nu te-am uitat , stai linistit, esti in continuare in micul nostru grup de 3 persoane , in inimile noastre! Felicitari, frumoasa prestatie

  • Bravo draga George! As fi curios sa ascult o Celesta Aida cu tine ...poate in curand , nu ?

  • BRAVOOOOO!

  • nice video! greetings from Russia !

  • Good vocal material!!!, but needs to understand he is a big lyric tenor, not a dramatic one now!!!...He has to manage less effort in his singing, and keep the voice floating upe behind the soft palate, but still connected to "in between teeth". I feel that his air support can be much more easier, if he takes out the idea from his head that he has to "poundage every phrase he sings". He has a natural beautiful and brigth sound, no need to do that. Any how, well done.

  • great voice !!marvelous !

  • wonderful voice - thank you - lg gitte

  • Bravo dragul meu!

  • Great Pinkerton

  • Bravo,bravissimo!

  • Bravissimo Dragomir!

  • BRAVO! great rendition

  • Bravo George, felicitari.

  • Well done, the best young Pinkerton

  • Mie sincer imi place,bravo

  • Felicitari, insa mai ai mult de lucru!

  • Bravo,fara cuvinte...si finalul e frumos!!!

  • bravo valentine

  • Bravo, great singing!

  • Bravo friend, solid performance. I would like to see a little less rigid posture, and dont twist your mouth, dont do it. A little bit flat at the end. Beautiful ring and nice delivery. Again, bravo keep it up.

  • Please stop sending this strained, out-the-side-of-the-mouth, no stagecraft, often flat dross to me. The only good thing about it is that if he keeps on "singing" like this he'll very quickly ruin his voice. If GVD ever appears in an opera I'll eat my hat!

  • @Englishtenor2 Be carefull, please. In this absurd world everything is possible.

Only take into consideration what kind of so called talents you can watch on TV.

But with your criticism you are absolutely right.

  • IMHO Very good voice, well set. You've to improve the final part that is not succiciently precise. High notes are "crescent" (?? I don't know in english) . And also interpretation can be developed with a larger use of dynamics,

  • that most beautiful interpretation

have a voice that conveys emotion

    Congratulations

    Ruben

  • what nation are you sire ?

  • What a joy, what a shine in my Heart.

  • Excellent super song great performance

  • wonderful

  • Good performance. You have to improve something but you sing this aria better than me, I think...I haven't your quality voice because I am a lyric tenor ringing, no dramatic. GO ON !!!!!!

  • Great !!! Thanks.

  • awesome

  • bellissimo complimenti 5*

  • bravo tenore, esti marfaaaa

  • Bravoooo George!

  • Drag prieten, te felicit! Esti un Pinkerton adevarat, asa cum l-a dorit Puccini.

  • Brava! Un grande tenore!!!

  • Bravo TeNoRe! BRAVOOOO

  • Bravo!

  • Bravo tenore! Un tenor puccinian de exceptie!

  • Great Lirique ART! Bravo

  • Great rendition!

  • Bravissimo maitre!

  • George, felicitari. In scurt timp, vei vedea ca usile ti se vor deschide!

  • Bravo Maestro!

  • It is an interesting performance. Though I think he is naturally more disposed to the music of classicism. I think it would be pleasurable to hear him singing some Mozart or Haydn.

  • Mi piace il suono, presenza, compostezza, coraggioso amico

  • Bravo! Very good performance!

  • Superba voce,Bravo!

  • Superba voce,Bravo!

  • Your talents touch my heart in a powerful way.

  • Bravo amigo,Fantastico,un placer escucharte.

    Un abrazo.

  • Very good. Bravo. You are probably a spinto. My recommemdation is for you to find lyric side of your voice more. These big arias will damage it completely in your stage if you continue to sing too much. Sing big arias as if you were singing light arias, bit less volume but more intensity. You know your instrument better than anyone. More articulation and less Corell for now. Thanks. Look forward for more. steak.

  • Bravo !!! Muy Buena Voz !!!!

  • lo dicho,gran voz a medio pulir
