take my advise. dont use sugar. or any corn sugar cane sugar. only dry malt extract. buy a 3 pound bag. save a cup and a half from it. mix that to your wort before piching yeast. then after 8 days mix that cup and a half left over for your carbination. just mix it with a couple courts of warm water then rack the beer into it. the apple taste is from using cane sugar. try talking to a brew expert before you brew. thanks good luck next batch. one can of coopers should make 6 u.s. gal. complete

I brewed 30 times in my cooper kit and it is effective as a Swiss watch so please dont let your defective kit smear the good reputation of coopers kit and crige as well.

What's happened now is I've grown accustomed to less alcohol.

The apple flavour probably came from using the Cooper's brewing sugar, which I believe contains sucrose = bad for beer. Gives you sort of an apple cider sort of taste. Next time use dried malt or dextrose if you can't get it.
