Undertaker once decided to do away with the Tombstone Piledriver coz the move makes him more prone to knee injuries. Actually, we can see that he has toned down the tombstone quite a bit, when he was young he used to jump while delivering the move.
Correspondent of mine says that Taker wasn't good when he was young, but became better and better with each passing year.
I think that the main strength of the Undertaker is that he knows how to make up for his weaknesses and could tell a story in the ring quite well, like Stan Hansen.
The move that impresses me most is the Guillotine Leg Drop. In a company with so many overrated big men, that he can make it look devastating without hurting his opponent is the mark of a true in-ring worker.
@CMY187 Taker is really a one of a kind talent. From character to in-ring work he's done a lot to keep evolving and avoiding getting stale. I don't think just NOT wrestling other than at Mania is a very good direction for his career, if he's that banged up maybe it's time to just move on, but he's definitely left his fans with tons of awesome memories and an amazing legacy to look back on.
Good video Mikko, but I think you shoud have replaced DDT with something else, because he used it only on Big Show to escape chokeslam. BTW, I didnt know Taker had that hotshot in his arsenal. You suprised me there lol.
@lolskullx He used it for like 2-3 years, he's used the Tombstone for like over 20 and it's still treated as like the most devastating finisher in WWE. Can not compare. lol
Undertaker is the best wrestler out there, He'd beat john cena anyday and kick his ass but the only thing I'm wondering is what kind of wrestler can match the undertaker.
is it just me or am i the only one that likes that noise undertaker makes when he hits the clothesline ..EUUUGHH!!...hes pretending his on his motor cycle
Who cares if it is a sidewalk slam or not. The undertaker is still a badass. u know he should not have lost a single match in all his years u dont call it 17 and 0 if he has lost some matches he should not even lose in double team, royal rumble or anything. Edge and all those other assholes wont leave him alone. And he needs to work on his muscles more so he can beat his brother kane
@IAmTheMikko if you listen to Michael Cole when undertaker is versing Shawn Michaels he says "Side Slam", but before that he says "Side walk slam". Basically the guy doesn't know what he's on about clearly.
@Brownost That's like saying the Last Ride is an Elevated Powerbomb or that the Pedigree is a Double Underhook Facebuster. Taker Care of Business is a name WWE gave the move when Taker used it more regularly.
@squeakywheely Well, being, ya know, PUNCHES they didn't rank high enough. lol Unless it's like a certain sequence of punches that ends with something bigger, I doubt punches will ever make any of my lists. Closets at the moment is Wade Barret's punch combination and that mostly because I've not see him do over 20 moves yet. lol
@IAmTheMikko All right, so the Rock's punching people out of the ring move wouldn't count either if you made a Rock's greatest moves vid? Even though it's classic and everybody loves it? Ya know, being that it's a punch, lol. You know that classic taker thing he does when he gets you in the corner where he punches insanely fast. It's a combo, not just random lame-o punching. Whatever though; your list is good.
@squeakywheely Ah, but see Rock's DOES end with something big one that sends them out of the ring, though odds are I wouldn't include that either, cause, again, punches.
great work although some moves are better executed in 2007/2004 like flying clothesline, sidewalk slam and leg drops rather than 2009/2010 but amazing work nonetheless
@dayer90 I'd say it somewhat lacks on effectiveness as it pertains to actually winning a match. It takes quite a bit out of Taker too, is risky and only does so much damage in my opinion. It IS very impressive though, DEFINITELY won't argue that.
