  • can the same thing be done with a consumer three inch rack ltes say pyro candy if so can u make a vid??

  • @displayfireworks1 I find all videos on your channel very educational. I am an up and coming pyro in South Australia. Thankyou from "Fire In The Sky" Pyrotechnics.

  • What's that goldbrownish thing called at 3:45? Heard u said "somethingPLUGS".

    Whats that for?

    Where do I get it?

  • Great work :)

  • great vid on using quick match for multiple fire alteration. ty very much for this one i was wondering about quick fusing a cake for this exact style:)

  • can u use visco to do this or quick fuse

  • your awesome man i love your videos y

  • Thumbs up if this guy sounds just like Jeff Bridges from Tron 2010! lol

  • Америкосы сосите!!!

  • 9made1 ^^

    nice vid, like always.

  • ha! nice! :D

  • target range?

  • I did it with a ti-salute cake, what a expirience. When I retry, I will attempt to film.

  • ya no one try this....if you try this without being in a safe environment with absolutely no chance of a spark....even the slightest bit of static electricity can set something like this off.

  • my friend gave me two of those.. but he broke it apart into single tubes... I have no idea what to do with them now... is there a way i can alter them? or possibly turn a tube into a rocket of some sort? or is that too dangerous =/ please help

  • ya jus dont try...haha u'll find out if its dangerous the hard way....unless u have a bomb squad suit...but u prob dont haha

  • How awesome would it be if you multiplied that cake by like 2 cases and instead of peonies with reports, replace them with salutes. Can you do the New Yorker Salute cake with it? Great videos Dave!

  • 2 dollars...lOl in Hawaii That Cake would cost you 2 Hundred Dollars!!!

  • amen to dat.

  • @trevor06 yeeeee issss australia its illegal we gotta pay like 40$ for a 60 shot cake and like 6$ for a moonlander and sit like that

  • wow i like how he does it during the day

  • Was that a Fruit Cake on one side of the cake in the 5Gal bucket?

  • yes any thing you do to a class c firework to alter its firing or powder content or even take it apart to fire the tubes 1 by 1 turns it into a class b firework...it does not matter if its still the same power, if you change it in anyway it is considered class b

  • This law is fuzzy and it depends from state to state... Some state allow you to modify class C fireworks, but they must be fired the same day.

  • Great vid! I want to see one made with salutes also!!!

  • Interesting method with the spliced quickmatch. i would have just plucked the first 3 visco pices and switched them. great video. ill be sure to try this method.

  • Again thanks for the vid Dave. I work always with visco if it must go fast.I already knew how to speed up a cake but not like you did it. Here in Belgium a Class C must have a 3 sec start.

    Greets, Wilfried.

  • is class b bigger or smaller?

  • Class B is usually way larger than Class C. 1.3g, UN0335 or Class B is professional fireworks, 1.4g, UN0336, or Class C is the fireworks you can buy in stands or stores.

  • Excellent idea, thank you. For people without access to QM, I am sure weaving that super quick visco around the fuses will work great too. I might do this with a tk and record the results.

  • Hi Dave, the time fuse that links all the fireworks together is four strands of paper fuse with thread wrapped around it,I thought you would like to know. Twokool212

  • Class is determined by powder content, not burn rate. It's still class c.

  • its a never ending debate hahaha, like ematching a C cake will make it a B cake...i guess i`ll ask my ATF field agent.

  • Dont be so sure now. You know there is a reason a long string of firecrackers has that Visco fuse in it and does not burn as fast as it used to. Maybe someone that sells fireworks can educate us all and comment here.

  • The reason for the visco on consumer product is that must be at least a three second delay once lit for the person to retreat to a safe distance.

  • I think when I reattached the visco fuse I returned it to Class C item because it had at least a three second start. The firecracker example I stated may have to do with side ignition as apposed to speed of device. I have noticed quick match being used in a few class c items at times like the girandolas

  • very cool!! I do this all the time it makes for a great show when you do a bunch this way and light them all at once.

  • great vid

  • im going to try and get some fotage of the show im helping at next week for u pyros out there

  • this cake riged to go ast will good 4 a opener if you put like 6 of them together and and like 10 or a hole case for the fanile part

  • Nice! I may be wrong about this but someone will correct me if I am. the number 22 you refered to on the bottom of the cake is a "employee number". The person who finalized the cake at the factory in China wrote 22 so their supervisor knew who`s it was because they dont get paid by the hour but by the product they turn out. This is pretty common and I garuntee on just about every firework you will find a number on it somewhere if you look hard enough.

  • I always wondered what those numbers meant :)

    Thanks Tyco.

  • Oh and Dave, nice vid. Enjoyed watching it with your speeding up method :)

  • can u do a video on the same thing but useing that stiky match stuff a few videos back. i found out that sticky match is a 1.4/c item and i just got some and i want to so my uncle who is a full time pyro man who does the big shows show philadilpa PA. and he dosent know the trick or rig when i asked him but he doesnt want to buy qick match. but i can give him the rool of sticky match. i would apreate it and he will to. im helping him on 1.4g show neek week for this family reoin. any tips?

  • Nice your lucky you can get quick match:-)

    I can't:-(

The bucket you use was that a Kno3 bucket?

  • It was from swimming pool chemicals. From that pain is the ass pool I used to have. You must of picked up on that oxidizer symbol.

  • yes:-)

  • @KMnO4dalla you could make your own quick match. it takes a while but is a fun hobby

  • great video thanks

  • wow looks awesome, I guess I should not do that at home but, cool to see how you did it! I don´t get how you stuffed the Qm in there but yeah, looks damn nice! Very nice video, imressive technique if you have a lot of time hehe, seems to take a long time to stuff the fuse around like that but, yeah I would not mind doing it, due the problem is I have no cake and no Qm ;) and i relly don´t know how to do it exactly either :P, that would be illegal to do for someone hm, in sweden to I think!

  • I know youre a teenager so Im worried about you. I dont want you taking fireworks apart. Just stick to working with that group of experienced pyrotechnicians in Sweden. I had second thoughts about posting this. Did you notice the bucket I had it in. Thats because I was sure how it would react. So please be careful over there is Sweden.

  • Yes yes ofcourse,I found soem tubes once-you saw that video:P not tried anything more since then. I think trying this would be awesome, but I don´t know the exact deal of it-as you do so as you said, I will stick to the proffesionals for a while untill I knwo the deal so good as them hehe. Yea, nice bucket and everything there but it turned out very nice! Would be fun to do with a bigger cake like 50shot or so :)
