There needs to be a quality and integrity business process that audits before and after the vote to verify the right software executed and the right result was properly announced to the public. Having 2 or more witnesses from party present would preempt even accidental mistakes.

As long as they can certify and bond a particular software version with configuration management processes and publish it publically for inspection of source code by the public or experts then run a checksum or digital signature algorithm against that certified compiled code its almost impossible to commit fraud. There needs to be witnesses and sealed computer cabinet.

It all comes down to physical security and having just a few very easy security precautions. As long as the central computer is in a secure vault with perhaps secured members from both principal parties physically present it would be simple to ratify/certify the checksum or digital signature.

It is also farcical to suggest that exit poll data deviating from actual voting results is a sign of fraud. All this means is that the exit pollers were done poorly with loaded questions or perhaps even asking people wearing campaign badges of the people they wanted to sample. A faster statistical verification could be done by simply spot checking 31 or so sample ballots from each precinct against the computer tally and if that produced a wide disparity then audit the ballots and software.

While its true that its trivial for someone to write software to assign the votes to the wrong person it is NOT easy for someone to place that software on physically sealed voting machines. that's statistically impossible...exit polls only have a margin of error of about 2% max, and that's extreemly generous....usually they are within 1%.... an error as large as we see here cannot be accounted for by people lying, as it would take a concerted effort by thousands of seperate individuals with no connection to one another spread throughout an entire state, all with the same aim, and from two seperate campaigns..Impossible! these exit poll numbers indicate election fraud.

Also, very few people vote in the caucuses, this makes for a smaller sample size in the exit polling which results in a less accurate poll and a larger margin of error. The testimony was in reference to a general election where the poll size and voting numbers are larger making for more accurate polling and a smaller MOE.

@007feedback Really? You're surprised? I've been alive a long time. I was a child in the "Mad Men" era. I paid attention to elections -- national and local -- from the time I was 9 years old. I remember a few elections, considered "close", where the votes were, oh, 8 percentage parts apart. I *NEVER IN MY LIFE* saw 49%-51% elections ... until the Rove/Bush crowd took over.

@Redpilldown I saw a very good documentary on Netflix a while back that went over this and interviewed those involved (that would speak of coarse). The elections have been rigged. I mean come on, if they are willing to lie on EVERY FRACKING POLE about Ron Paul (and everything else for that matter) then they will lie about everything. When our popular opinion is being circumvented by the goals of a few that is the time to get angry.
