Horrific. Such acts occur on a daily basis here in Greece. If you ever visit Greece take a look beyond the intendend tourist spots and you will see a different Greece..

I can't understand how anyone can throw an animal into a rubbish bin like it is carbage.. I'm leaving for Crete tomorrow, hope I won't find animals in rubbish bins anymore like I did in 2006
Because I have founded the Dutch foundation for Animal Aid on Crete and helping out different projects on Crete. So I will return to Crete 3 times a year but not for holidays, only for helping the animals. Instead of turning my back on the animals on Crete I decided to help them.

This is so common that they put animals in Bins in Greece! I have been here helping animals for 5 years and each day i see abuse!!!

Why do you go back to Crete then? Don't go there again, animal abuse is worse there than in any other part of Greece. Come to Corfu :)
