@MusicSweetly It's an acapella supergroup. One of the girls is from the SoCals, the beatboxer was the lead arranger and vocal percussionist from BYU Noteworthy, and many of the others are from the other western power groups.
she should not be a lead singer cause to me she can not sing that good she should give the girl next to her the mic for the next performance or they will not go far
I admit I watched this tune about 20 times in a row, yes it moved me that much..... Excellant pitch and wonderful Alto Joanne,....the rest of your group is just as talented but shit girl, you have some pipes. =)
Often, there are special circumstances that allow for certain American Idol contestants to come back. It matters, in this case, because there are plenty of other fantastic acts out there (Straight No Chaser, comes to mind, for one). I could understand former contestants coming back in newly formed groups in later years, but the very next season? Come on. This show ISN'T a college audition. It's a contest for money and a record deal.
So... Courtney from Noteworthy, Kelley, Rachel, Thomas, Kenton, and Catherine from the SoCals (i.e. VoCals)... any other repeats in the group? I think they're all fabulously talented.
But come on... most of you had your shot. Is this going to be a trend for future seasons of "The Sing Off?" Makes for a simple formula. Pluck the best alumni from different groups, slap on a new name, and BAM! You get to perform (once again) in a competition THAT SHOULD BE SEEING BRAND NEW TALENT.
@Luv2Dnce4 Who cares? Nearly every reality show has had people that come back again. Hell, in American Idol, sometimes people do it in the same season. Many of these people are extremely talented, so what does it matter if they came are back? Clearly the show doesn't care. I see no reason why people can't form their own group. Auditions into college acapella groups like Pitchslapped or OtR are usually extremely competitive, how is this any different?

The soloist always hits the high notes flat. She slowly raises it to the right pitch, but for a few split seconds it sounds dreadful :/
I loved the performance, but if she's trying to be artistic then she should start a half step under instead of a few semitones. :D

Also, wasn't the blond standing behind the lead to the right (0:10) in SoCals from last season?
