  • And an "unforgettable" Herrmann score. He is pure genuis. Also a great scen with Gilbert Roland --- the father and Robert Wagner (son) when Roland tells his son that he is not ready to do the sponge diving.

  • This was the trailer seen on most "standard" screens in movie theaters in late 1953, as there was also a "CinemaScope" version available for wider screens [Fox saved their "big scenes" for that one]....music composed and conducted by Bernard Herrmann!

  • Unusual. This was one of the first three CinemaScope films released. Perhaps this flat format was needed for advance promotion when people still had 99% 1.37:1 screens. Thanks for sharing this.
