  • Love,Knowledge,Peace is what He Provides to us . Amazing

  • If you are preoccupied with power, then you will see relationships in power terms and you will be afraid of being controlled in every relationship, or being suppressed or being dependent and those are all power related things, and that is because your preoccupation is with power because of your own feelings of inadequacy . . .

  • @lukewalker79

Solid. So what is the effective practical method for breaking through, dropping off all these limitations and entering true freedom? This is what comes to mind when I read that.

Thanks for the transcription, that's a good part.

  • @Saattya only you can answer that question really, anybody elses answer, is just that, thier answer and their way and their path ^.^

  • what an amazing discourse

  • what an amazing discorse

  • never seen a video with zero dislikes... good shit

  • Zero dislikes...I won't be the first...this is helpful...Thanks Ram

  • I listen to meditative speeches to create new art

  • He's so powerful and enlightened, he's reaching us through the internet.

    Amazing.

  • ty for post

  • Infinity .... all that matters is "Are you here, now?".

All the rest is part of the 'game', all the rest doesn't matter. You can have visions of the higest levels, but what truley matters is your state of presence, and that is only 'right now'.

When we take accountability for our state of presence, we are here right now, and the miracles of daily living unfold on their own. Thanks be to Life!! =)

  • @KevinHeumann1 I disagree, with all do respect for your opinions. I believe that when speaking about what "matters" and "doesn't matter", one is dealing with a relative situation. Some feel that scientific analysis is an important process in our evolution... In fact, all animals scientifically scrutinize situations to an extent... Although animals seem to focus more on their physical rather than mental perception like humans relatively do...

  • @KevinHeumann1 ...There also seems to be an emotional perception to the animal body as well. All of those seem to be obviously definable all as separate but necessary aspects of the body as a whole. I've noticed that consciousness itself acts as it's own aspect of the body in the same way I believe you focus on it... It's the "moment" or "point" of a "spiritual" perception. Different people seem to hold a unique spectrum of perception based on these 4 (and possibly more) aspects of our body...

  • @KevinHeumann1 ...That's my opinion anyway... Thank you for listening.

  • @InfinityOE We could debate this or debate that all day long. At the end of the day, your thoughts and my thoughts really aren't that different, they've all been thought before. We're conditioned beings. The only thing that actually exists in reality is just "thisssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss". There is no "you" and there is no "me" and therefore why derive some sense of self and live in an illusion? now - who are you really? Tell me after you haven't thought about it. :) lol

  • @freedomfromthemind I've thought about so many things that I'm not able to keep track of all of my life changing "revelations". I agree with you, but I also don't believe in dimension. Without dimension there is no separation... There is only singularity.

  • ... Sorry about the lack of sensible analogies. If there are any questions about what I just said, please feel free to reply any of my comments I just left. I didn't mean to make it sound like "we are God" if that's what somebody interpreted that as. I also don't mean offense to any of your beliefs and I respect them all as if they were my own. Thanks for listening.

  • @InfinityOE , interesting! to me god is, as we can think without extrapolating, the ultimate oneness that contains itself and allows and creates manifestations. God is also the force that made that instead of nothing, there is something, and as this something comes of imateriality, every thing is an ilusion, just a part of the movement of this creation, but nothing in itself is more than just a part of it, that's why buddhists say "emptyness is full, fullness is empty!"

  • @matydrum That's some great philosophy! I appreciate your comment with all respect for my opinion. I personally am a man of understanding and try to formulate scientific hypotheses to try to better logically understand the universe. However, there is a part of me which enjoys a "silent" understanding, if you will. I believe there is a scientific explanation for all things among an indefinite, incomprehensible spectrum of information (both within and without our perception).

  • @InfinityOE , I think at some point, science can not expain anymore, but only describe.... or answer the how, but not the why! At some point we must stop trying to explain, but just surender to being, and rely on intuitive knowledge, wisdom, beyond words, cause language and human intelect are limited, but are true being isnt, but is infinite, cause we are the universe!

  • @matydrum Very true! People dont seem to know the difference between "why" and "how"... Science refuses to ask "why" on a regular basis, and instead use "how," which takes us back to the big bang... When asked WHY there was a big bang, the answer usually is HOW the big bang came about... Science is based on one, free, miracle with the purchase of causal reality, ememnating from the one, free miracle...

  • ... If there is more than one possibility for an objects position, than it wouldn't be so far fetched to say that everything is one "object/quantity" observed by us in a lower dimension as separate and individual things. What one calls "God" could be a singularity, or "point" of space which IS literally everything that we perceive... It would be like looking straight ahead at the end of a line (like a piece of string), aligning all the points together to show that it's only one point...

  • ... For each moment in time, there is only one possibility for any given object in space (i.e. right or left... Not right and left). Now... 4 dimensions of space requires volumes (3 dimensional quantities) to exist in the same position, which is generally thought to be impossible. If we add another dimension of time (2D time... Multiple timelines), we can say that there is more than one possibility for each object which can exist in the same space... Following me so far?...

  • ... **Note - This is all my opinion.** At any given moment in time, we are only perceiving 2 dimensions of space... If we could "pause" time at any given moment (rendering time non-existent or 0 dimensional), we would not be able to move around an object in space to see that it is in fact 3 dimensional. So in reality, the only way 3 dimensions of space can exist is with 1 dimension of time, or a "timeline"...

  • This might take up a few comment spaces... I'm sorry for those that I bumped off page 1. First of all I'd like to say that I think I connect to Ram Dass' was of teaching and his personality out of anybody I've ever listened to or read about. Second, I'd like to get into some philosophy... If you stick with me, you'll understand my point. Thanks in advance for listening...

  • Thank you for uploading this.

Ram Dass is one of the most genuine, profound & lovable spiritual teachers alive today. There's really no one quite like him.

  • This is wonderful ~ thank you

  • why cant i find as much acid as this guy

  • i just got through reading be here now. and i feel that i am honestly ready to begin my journey of washing away all of the impurities that have tied me down and held me back for so long. this man really represents knowledge and im just blessed to have been reccomended this book and to actually have found a path i am more than willing to walk down. I would genuinly APPRECIATE anyone who can help me begin this journey with advice. thank you.

  • An amazing perspective

  • Amazing, powerful, pure... i feel so good listening. thanks a ton for giving us the great treasure of listening to Ram Dassji.

.. this knowledge is timeless and helps mankind.

  • i identify with no socil role what so ever

    that is my problem,

    no

my socil role is of an outcast,

someone sent away from the tribe

i am constantly thinking peope are judging me

    isolation...

fear to face those who are judging me

    trapped in a loop

i have no clue how to break the cycle

  • the fear of facing those judges is the fear of facing the Self (a fear i share, a fear perhaps shared by all), so the first step in breaking the cycle is to sit, meditate, and really face your Self. the judgement appears in your mind like a cloud appears in the sky. watch it. know that You are the That Sky, and watch the cloud as it comes and passes. OM. You are not alone.

  • @MidnightDC696969 - get a pen and a piece of paper, go to place that is quite, either indoors or out and write down what you fear, and why you fear it.

Dont think about what anyone will think about what you are writting, you are only doing it for you. Dont lie to yourself, infact you'll find lying hard to do, you will realise lying to yourself is part of the problem.

When you've written a paragraph or two read it back to yourself.

  • @MidnightDC696969 You will then see the perspective written down in front of you. It is no longer just a muddling swarm of thought processes moving quickly around your mind.

You will then realize all these thoughts that have been bringing you down for so long are ridiculous conditioned thought processes that are poison for you moving forward as a person.

  • I've been there many times, my friend. The truth is that no one is judging us, at least not as harshly as we judge ourselves. If someone else said the same things we say to ourselves ABOUT ourselves...well, we'd hate them. Actually, I say things to myself that my worst enemy wouldn't say!

And being apart from society is not always a bad thing. The Buddha left his life behind to find freedom. He rejected everything about his society, to--the caste system, religious dogma, etc.

  • @MidnightDC696969 you're judging yourself more than others are judging you.
