  • c mon! im a kid, & i say that all the time!

  • @ElizabethSwannFan lol, well I guess it's OK then! I think I just put that up there so You Tube wouldn't get mad. Although they tag pole videos all the time, usually because they are "dangerous"...not necessarily "inappropriate" supposedly! Thanks for watching! /Joel Lessing

  • why did you have your pants off?

  • @ThatIsWackSon Thanks for watching! /Joel Lessing

  • is he trying to act like Jerry Springer?

  • @boakes76 Thanks for watching...no this was a "genuine" accident. not a fake event for TV!

  • Thanks...I WAS a little worried about the Mercury they say is in the bulbs. Oh well, what the hell...pole dancing is more dangerous than Mercury anyway, lol!

  • LOL!

  • wow, did you kick it or something?? ive never seen a lightbulb do that..!

lightbulbs aside, great ex butt joel..!! congrats.!

  • Thanks! Yeah...I just finished editing the long version video and I think I found the clip where the kick occurred. I labelled it in the longer video..you see a tiny little shadow as my foot swings around the front of the screen. I think I "tapped" it then...and it started to fizzle and pop until the circuit board flamed out 5 minutes later. I was surprised to see all those electronic parts (10-15 of them) INSIDE a light bulb. There is an ENTIRE circuit board in the porcelain base..very weird!

  • GREAT EXTENDED BUTTERFLY, JOEL!!! I'm so proud of you!!! I'm glad you have all of the mats and padding underneath, so that newbies watching can see the level of safety precautions that need to be in place before attempting anything dangerous! I have problems with my ceiling fan next to my pole, but luckily no lights. I'm glad you weren't hurt!! The things we go through with pole dancing, eh?? Keep up the good work ;]

  • Thanks...yep..I don't have a spotter. I am really too heavy for any of the ladies in my family to safely provide support. I weigh almost 200 pounds. (LOL! it may be FIT weight...but it's still HEAVY!). I cannibalized those super thick cushions from a fold up kiddie matress I got at a garage sale for $1 !! Hosed 'em down with soap and water and they were ready to go. Best pole dance bargain all year!

  • Thank You. Yeah, lights are always a problem. Guess if I were building a studio, I would instll recessed track lighting or flourescents under panelling... Well, I DO have a camera load of ex-butt practice. I really boxed myself into a corner with the poetry last time. I had no CHOICE but to prove I could do it! I have 6 more days of work before July month off and 4 furlough days. Then I can edit and get a vid up, hopefully. The upside of unpaid furlough days: more time to POLE!!!

  • ha

    that is funny

    and scary

yeah i do not have a lot of option with placement of my pole because of the light fixture therefore it is a wee closer to the wall then i would like it to be

    fantastic extended butterfly! though

    =)

  • Shiza Minelly! Lucky you wernt on the pole, the fright of it would make anyone fall off.

  • I must have actually hit the light much earlier. That entire clip is 6 minutes long...I still have it in the camera. The prior invert I was close to the light. Good thing I had on rubber shoes or I would have gotten a shock!

  • oh my goodness, hope ya ok, bet that was scary

  • Thanks....I'm OK. I was a little worried about the fumes...but hopefully they are not harmful. But they were real smelly!

  • This is toooo funny! I had to watch this a couple of times! I love the "oh shit'...classic! Glad that didn't turn into something very bad!

  • LOL! Yeah, I got lucky this time!

  • hehe Joel you rock!!! Glad you weren't hurt buddy!! I've kicked my light more times than I can count. lol Just be careful man, we need you to stay in one piece! :-P Excellent ext butterfly man!! You are really soaring!!! *bows to the pole god*

  • Thank You....well, I decided to leave the socket empty for a while!

  • Woah, scary! Glad you weren't hurt. Awesome butterfly, you're kicking my butt Joel, I'm getting on my pole tonight!

  • Keep practicing...but move the lamps!

  • lucky escape your extended butterfly looks good, the light bulb approved too :)

  • Thank You!

  • Oh I'm glad you were ok!! Your extended bfly looked good though :-)

  • Thank You! I DO have a set of good clips. The hardest part after getting the move...was trying to GET THE MOVE ON CAMERA. I would twist around head-on...or be BEHIND the stupid pole. I've got a right sided gem to butterfly combo...but I am struggling with the left. I wanted to film BOTH before I did a vid.....maybe by the weekend.

  • you simply ELECTRIFY, any room u walk into..don't you Joel? great work on the extended butterfly. that was fierce, the bulb that is scarey i would have thought i had ghosts or somethin, haha. luv ya

  • Ha! I'm glad I was wearing leather/rubber shoes just in case that was a live wire! Those new flourescent bulbs are kind of scary!

  • Just too HOT Joel...heheh!

  • Definitely, LOL!

  • good job joel

  • Thank You, Gaby!

  • Great job... Too bad about the light bulb though, that's my constant fear as well!

  • Yes, it's VERY close to the pole and I figured it might happen sooner or later!

  • its because youre sizzling hot there joel, that exbutt was fab xx

  • I've got clips...gonna get a vid up soon. Lots of goodies, LOL!

  • liked that even the sparks good thing nothing serious haappened

  • Well, thank goodness it burned it self out, LOL!

  • I can't believe you just picked it up! Wasn't it hot??

  • Oh...no...I forgot to put a fade in between the two clips...it was about a 5 minute delay in between the two clips. Actually, the base is porcelain...like a teacup or pyrex dish..that part wasn't hot...but something nasty and ooozy was sizzling out of the circuit board. I put it in a ziplock bag and Laurie took it out to the recycling bin. I think you are supposed to recycle them somehow..but Idon't know where or how...was afraid to leave it in the house, LOL!

  • If it was a flourescent it had mercury in it. They last a long time so they are energy efficient but unfortunately the mercury is a downside. A lot of people don't dispose of them properly and they end up in landfills. The mercury eventually washes into the ground and it isn't something that just "goes away" it is a cumilitive element. I also remember my chem teacher saying to run away from fumes when they break. I'm just glad you didn't get hurt and nothing set on fire. *knock on wood*

  • Thanks for the info, PoledanceABC's...well, I did wrap it in two layers of plastic...I was afraid to leave it in the house. I will look into what Village Hall says about recycling these things. Our whole house is full of them...but this is the first one that "burned out."

  • hahaha shit lol volatile! Glad it didn't combust

  • Me too! There is a fire extinguisher right there behind the camera...but it's ancient. Probably doesn't even have a charge left!

  • omg At first I laughed and then I noticed that's the same kind of bulbs I use. SCARY!

  • My heart is still pounding but it's got me on a roll...just now...5 secs ago...gem to exbutt to handstand...ugly and crude...but did it! Maybe the fear kicked my butt a little...shook something loose!!! Gonna try to get a vid up soon....

  • Yeah! Can't wait to see it. Crude is ok. From crude you'll get smoother then perfection. Got that blood to flowing did it! LOL
