  • luvn that sound variation @1:28

  • wat a geezer

  • this isn't really a compilation is it. It's just one guy playing.

  • he's playing difff beats so its just a title

  • india has da most hardcore dholis like this guy n many others! luv it! (:

  • @xAmarMx where do you guys get your dhols i never heard a dhol that sounds that good in my life

  • @pasmaan

bro before you make comments that make u seem like you know what your on about read the title properly, it says dhol beat compilation not dhol player compilation

  • I mean no disrespect but I really can't stand the sound quality of the synthetic skins that they use on Dhols. What the hell is wrong with using animal hides? They sound so much better.

  • he cud be a veggie guy lol!

  • @SoULja51NGH

nothing wrong with being veggie. I am. A lot of people are. But it shouldn't be at the cost of music quality lol.

  • @asdube woot i`m veggie aswell and i use goat skin for my dagga lol and they use synthetic because it lasts longer and it doesn`t have that vibration when you hit it

  • @monikhushalpuri

I'm a purist when it comes to music. Yaar, it just sounds so much more organic when they use goat skins. I play tabla. I hope they never develop synthetics for tabla. That will be the day that I'll lose all hope. ;o) Also, I don't see any harm in making musical instruments from dead animals. They were slaughtered for meat anyway. We veggies salute their sacrifice and immortalize them through music. :o)

  • @asdube yeah bro there slaughtered any ways so why let it go to waste but i heard goat skin for the thili side of the dhol on my friends dhol and all i`m gonna say is that the synthetic skin sounds waaaaayayayyy better for the thili but for the bass nothing beats goatskin and man i don`t think it`s possible to do that with tabla i heard that the black part in the middle is the key to the sound or something on tabla`s

  • i hate guju dholis

  • the dhol soundz lethal his dhol is the same as mine lol

  • leather de purhe di jarurat hai, bass ghat hai

  • bruuuuuuuuuuuuaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhh too good these dholis frm india!!!

  • @djmanvir lol gbc is the brand of the thili the dhol is made by some nextdude in jalandhar lol

  • zaber 10 yaar maza aa gya a

    pakistan yaad karwa ditta e

  • This is real nice playing. 5*

  • His dhol is opposite if u get me. His bass is bolted and his treble is strung.

  • thats how good dhol's are made man

  • you are right man, i did not even see that

  • this dude is damn bloddy good..i love the way he plays..chakdey mundeya!

  • Comment removed

  • sick.

  • damn!!! fuck..nice job...u got a little SUFI touch to that hand, nice bro..i bet u listen to alot of pappu saeen???

  • Absolutely wonderful!!! WOW Well Played!! Some Hardcore practice!!!

  • Man that pitch bending is good. I agree with lotay1-the use of the hand on the dagga.

  • aha... chuk de pathe.

    Punjabi!

  • thats bad how his bendin the sound of the base at the start.

  • i figured it out tudai its not as good as his sound bending lol but its close u see how hes moving his hand on the dagga after he plays it nd lightly taps while he does it thats how i do it:)

  • this guy looks tamil lol

  • Who cares what he looks like. He's our brother and a damn good dholi!

  • it wasn't a insult :( i am tamil

(this is ganjabhai, changed name cuz i don't smoke anyomre)

  • Ok. Thought it was. Sorry.

  • i know, people find it as insult to resemble my dark skin people :( it doesn't affect me tho

naw bro, i'm a drum player, i play a type of drum called urumi melam, and sometimes i like to look at other cultures drums, like guyanese, african, and punjabi

  • beautiful sounding treble ...mmmm

  • excellent video again...I love the treble....but what is with the plastic on the bass side these days in india? Would you happen to know DholiT?

  • kidha ji.. erm, i think its proberly to do with ease of putting it on, 'problem free'. And doesnt change with the weather changes either.. but i just dont dig the plastic man.. doesnt have that "real" feel to it you get me paaji

  • and its smell free!.. (in my experience the best bass goat skins.. smell like ****!) but sound baaaad

  • Ya i feel ya, I think its easy...and if they pop there is no tuning. Its funny the dhols there these guys play are soo different then before. Roped Treble and bolted plastic bass? I like the bolted gbc treble and roped goat skin bass

And this dholi looks very uncomfortable when he plays but he is siiick noo doubt

  • yehh i agree with what you say man.. was thinkin about it a bit more. Roping goat bass n pastic trebles also a hard technique to master man.. and bolting on a goat bass and roping a plastic treble can be a bit funny also with the bass detuning but u still get that roped treble sound like this guys got... so easy alternative is use plastic bass, quick pop on n off! but thats jus my guess anyway man lol it is mad to think how much the dhols have changed in style tho
