je ne peux en croire mes oreilles ! quelle idée extraordinaire monsieur Pizzi.Le son chaud est là, le mariage des styles est là aussi , parfait, à la hauteur de votre talent de musicien d'exeption.congrats for for this contibution
..... I can not believe my ears ! What an extraordinary gentleman, Pizzi. The sound is warm, the marriage of styles is also perfect. At the height of your talent as an exceptional musician, congrats for for this contibution. (from jazzobassoon, France)
The most beautiful music interpreted of magisterial form. You make go out of your instrument emotion that comes straight to the heart. Music, that consoles, encourages, makes laughter or tears ... Ray, you are one of the few who achieve this. Music is your voice. You have got a wonderful gift. You can give thanks to God for it. I give thanks to you for your effort, dedication and generosity. Thank you very much.
It should be blasphemy, a jazz saxaphone taking on one of the most sensuous melodies of the classical stage. Instead, it soars, flies, transforms Wagner, the sax the long-lost male lover for the soprano's swan song. Fusion of raw jazz and deepest classical, I can die happy now.
Hey, viewers if you can, listen to this with a good set of head phones on. It literally takes the breath out of your lungs. Superb! Such emtoion. See its not about how many flashy notes you can play its about moving people with your music. I'm moved!
Thank you for providing me with the visceral experience of being at The Met. I closed my eyes and all my senses played like the orchestra. This made me shudder from head to toe.
This session turned out to be one of the most WONDERFULLY COSMIC EXPERIENCES of my lifetime.
Concept arranged by Frederick Myrow and
through the magic of Hi-Tech, I played to a 1940 NEWSREEL PERFORMANCE of the N.Y. Met, conducted by ARTURO TOSCANINI....AND.... 2 of my former teachers on the orch at that time. Simon Kovar (bssn) and Atilio Poto (clar.) What a Rush !!!
