I TOTALLY agree with your conclusions on the Eve Lom cleanser. I liked the smell a lot, actually, but I was really surprised by the "all natural" ingredients and the fact that my skin broke out. I'm just not sure I believe the idea that skin needs to break out when you try something good, maybe with something medical (retinol maybe?), but with cosmetics, I don't think it makes sense. Especially since I've been using oils on my skin for ages. Thanks for the great review- subbing right now!
Really Cheers for your update....I was about the buy the cleanser but pulled back (it's about 30% more expensive then the UK, here is Asia) instead I've got my sis to send me the Eve trial size AND the boots one you mentioned to do my own little comparison......I am curious too which is better for my skin :)
It was a joke! Do you think I would ever say that people 'should' be following me on twitter? Sometimes people crack jokes and that was one of them. I definitely didn't intend to insult anyone but I don't think I need to defend myself for making a joke. To be honest I can really do without this right now, my Grandpa died less than 24 hours ago, and to get this email through with this comment really upset and bothered me. Did you think about how that would make me feel? x
I am soooooo sorry I didnt know I dont usually get or like understand stuff like that. I am also very sorry to hear about your loss. I also recently lost my grandfather and I know how it feels I apoligize. Please forgive me.
me and you need to take a trip to liverpool and hit up lush! you'll love ultrabland - it's my all time favourite <3 although that botanics one does look promising!!! xoxoxo
I've got the botanics cleansing balm and it is love! It gets rid of every single scrap of makeup and leaves my skin feeling lovely and clean and soft. Wasn't as keen on the cloth as it's a bit rough and weird but I've extra muslin cloths so no loss there :) I didn't get any breakouts when I switched to this but everyones skin is different so i can't guarantee you won't. Look forward to hearing how you get on with it :)
Great video :-) Liz Earle is fanstastic. Its very mild smelling and takes off all makeup and leaves your skin soft and comfortable. I have combination skin and it worked great.
cant wait for the botanics review ive seen these products in boots but im too scared to use them as i have really sensitive skin and keeping in mind that just because its natural doesnt mean it cant break u out or you cant be allergic to it so good stuff xxxx
Once you use the Botanics cleanser can you do a review please? I am really interested in it as I use Lush's Ultrabland. And I never knew how to remove it (I used coton pads) so I will try the muslin cloth.
I think the Eve Lom is really overrated although I never tried it but just looking at the ingredient list it doesn't sound too good: beside the mineral oil it contains 5 parabens!
Can anyone write down the ingredients from Botanics balm for me please? Thank you so much! x
you should definately try the ultra bland from Lush!! i have used it everyday for ages and it has never broke me out! i also have sensitive skin and it works like a dream!! hope this helps x
If you like the eve lom, defo try liz earle! it's much cheaper and so so so good, I have similar skin complaints to you, but after two weeks of liz earle my skin looks better than ever! x
Thank you for this review! I agree i think the eve lom is far too over priced! I used it a few years ago and never again! I do like liz earle cleanse and polish! you should give it a try! Its very kind on the skin! Im really looking forward to seeing how you get on with the boots one though!! Looks fab!!;)x
I've been curious about these non-sudsy products, but am a bit addicted to my Purity. I'd love to hear your results from the Boots one. Thanks for the review!
my advice, avoid all advertisments from beauty companies, as much as a love them when it comes to skincare they frequently lie/manipulate names ect... and are not as pure as they seem. perhaps booking an appointment with a dermatologist would be the way to go and see what they recommend, and perhaps even a homeopath or naturalpath...
that is the way I went, and it solved all my skin problems.
I've used ultra bland, its really nice, but hasnt cleared my skin up, fresh pharmacy is good too and i use vanishing cream with them, it does really brighten skin, but i would say give it a go, they are really nice. i use dark angles as well, all from lush, and thats pretty good too. grease lightening is amazing product i would reccomend that!
ahh so its botanics ! let me know how it goes - would be nice to find a cheap winner. ps. i hate all that "the ingredients are so pure" nonsense - total sales babble that i fall for every time.
hahah i think it smells like church lol...like the oils they burn or something
