The cane of Pacci's only saving grace was the reference to the canes from Link to the Past (Oracle of Ages did this better, although the cane was somewhat nerfed there) the Cane of Somaria (Which created blocks which in LttP could explode on command, creating 4 blasts, making it a decent weapon) and the Cane of Byrna (the standard invincibility but Mana requiring item)

@LuckySevenDX Yes, holding L or R down activates your equiped item, just like how the directional pad and ABXY buttons let you access map screens. Works for both Spirit Tracks and Phantom Hourglass - the games' designers were sensible enough to not force you to use touch screen controls on any feature where it would be just an unnecessary gimmick.

@LuckySevenDX I believe the silly item you're talking about is the cane of pacci from the legend of zelda: minish cap. It was completely useless but you have to admit it was quite entertaining watching link do backflips.

@123powq Well realize that i'm essentially playing the touch screen with a mouse. That kind of quick timing stuff is reeeeeally hard to do with that. So for me, that's gonna be really hard unless there's a trick to simplify it.
