Uhh... I think he's in the wrong key. I may not remember how to play this, but it's like, a strangely voiced C# minor around the seventh fret with the guitar tuned down a half a step. I need to look it up now. I do know that that is not how it's played, though.

@2456person You can only really play it properly in C standard, as with many QOTSA songs (they generally only use C or E standard). It is possible to play a half-arsed effort in E (as shown above) but it sounds cack and you cant play any of the correct harmonics/ open strings etc.

@cristianbam Well one, these videos only teach the main riffs of songs, not a thorough breakdown of each and every song. Two, it can be played in E, just on different frets, which he did. In C Standard you just play it four frets higher. It may be different from how Josh plays it, but it's not wrong, nor does it "fail in epic proportions."

It's not C standard or C. Queens used to play 2 steps down. Meaning, every string is dropped two steps. C f Bb Eb. It's not C tuning. And this video is correct for Standard tuning. It does sound much better 2 steps down though.

It's a really simple song if you're good enough to hammer on and pull off, and slide. The chorus Are simple octaves, the bridge is just power chords, and the solo is very easy if you can play C natural Minor scale. But hey, i've been playing for 5 years going on 6. Just give it some practise, it'll work for you
