they are apples and oranges. They simply are 2 halves of the whole. Two very differently

talented musicians who make awesome-once-in-a-lifetime music for the ages together and

are also very good on their own. They 'got' what each other was trying to say in music and were able to express it extremely well. We are a blessed bunch, us Beatles fans. Rarely

Paul went on after the Beatles to form a band that forever defined the 70's. Paul was a major contributing factor of the Beatles with John, but like any band, someone wanted sole control. That wasn't happening. Everyone blamed Paul for the breakup. but as time showed us all, Paul came out aces!!!!! This is just one of many songs that made him an icon in rock history. I'm glad I was around when this history was being made.

I used to be very much lennon vs macca, in favor of lennon but over the past year I've come to love macca's stuff as much as lennon's. Now whenever I create my Beatles playlists on my phone, I can't do without 1-2 Macca songs after every 2-3 lennon songs. And this way I've come to increase my pleasure of listening to the Beatles. Their often contrasting styles make it a 360 degree thing.
