Not so. The group shown is the only remaining group of Damara that I could find in the entire Namibia, after a 3 year search, who still perform their traditional dance as a group. The oldest member of the group is 89, with the remainder not much younger! The "lyrics" of 3 of the songs that they performed, were transcribed for me and the content corresponds closely with those derived from historical records recorded in 1922, near Uis
