U have to go to this Bridge after u beat the game and u tlk to this guyand he'll give u a magikarp and itll be easyto trainit when u givean exp.share and it can get a lotof exp and itll be easily trained

It's a bad idea to focus on your starter only. In Fire Red, I entered the Pokemon league with a lv. 83 Charizard and my other Pokemon were under Lv. 10.

@jtde1 well it depends i prob gonna go with oshowott cause he has the best stats but if you want to you can as soon as you get the starter you want trade it over to any of your other pokemon games and then restart black and get the other starter i tried this and it works =D i hope this helps

@sikura68 yeah, sadly oshowott has the worst stats, I wanted to pick him before I found out he has the worst stats, check out serebii.net and look, all hes better for is Sp.atk, thats the only stat thats better than the other 2, but if you still want him go ahead :D, his 1st form is cute, 2nd form cool,3rd is badass

@jtde1 JUST my suggestion I pre-ordered both games and my poke'mon are going to be snivy and tepig but dont worry about the first gym leader there's no weakness whatever starter you choose your versing your weakness there's three of them then the next is normal and fighting it's a lab which is weird...so when I finish my national pokedex im probably going to a rare place to capture oshawott and train him I think its boring after the tasks are over and getting stuck anyway this is my comment bye!

@cadort5 Well an article on Bulbapedia said that (Name not remembered) was really suprised when he found out about the rumor that it will not be a third version. Which to me is enough proof that it WILL come a third version. I would say if it will ever be one maybe late 2012. (Grey Version is just a speculated name, it could be named something different)

@xIpiiKaChU The game is region locked. So if you're playing on an English DSi, than you won't gain exp. from battling. There is a cheat that can disable it though.
