Thank you! I have to learn this song asap for a performance and could not find a simple rendering of the verses and chorus. Your performance gives me a goal to shoot for!
@yelloworangered Replying to myself! Update -- three days into it and I can pretty much manage the verses -- the third line of the melody stumps me over and over. I won't threaten you with a vid of my performance! Thanks again - this is the ONLY place on the net to present the verses in song.
Another VERY entertaining post. I just have to stop a listen (several times) each time you have a new video. They are just so pure sounding. Please keep them coming!
Awesome David! You're right about not knowing the verses. I didn't even recognise the tune of the verses, but when it came to the chorus, I knew it so well! Thanks for sharing this.
Good one, Ukester. I never heard the verses before. I know a couple parodies of the chorus. I'll post them on my channel sometime. Amazing how much music you get out of that little uke. Nice chord progression. ....Bill
@BaronK69 Thanks Baron! Yes the uke is newer. It is another custom built Kepasa. I tell about it on the end of a video "Exactly Like You". It was inspired by an a photo of a vintage Regal and we went from there. It has Aquilas on this song and I just put on Fremonts for the next video. Eventually I will have one video with video segments of a few different string represented on this uke.
Fine job, Dave. Must have heard Bing do this one, though like I said, I don't know how I know these songs. The brain is an amazing repository. Liked the variation of strums.
@DearOldNutjob Thanks Don- Video up 10 minutes and you watch it! You are correct about the brain being an amazing repository. I even know some people who use theirs as a suppository.........

@cariboubill Thanks Bill. For such a simple song I had to work on this one for a while to get it so I liked it.

Lovely! I can picture you back in the 20's or 30's singing this to your lady love and her not being able to resist! :-)

Wonderful lyrics. Too bad so many recordings just throw them out.

@UKISOCIETY Yep- there are a lot of songs that have "lost" them.
