I was there. I took the video. I saw the complete Concert and the last part, in which he used the synthesizer was the most surprising part.!!!!!!!!!!! Wow!!!

Rich sounds, much energy, fast action!!!

The opposite of the 4 parts that you heard!!!!!! It is a pity that I could not record that brilliant last part.

.... I guess it was an ** encore ** !!!! or a last minute addition to the concert. He seemed to have practiced a lot with the synthesizer and NOT with the rest of the instruments. It appeared to me he was excited with the synthesizer. Curiously there was no "Peace" in the final part but the energy was so great that it created an incredible contrast !!!!!!!!!

He may have been in decline in his last years. Probably he wished to say goodbye to Puerto Rico (in part 2 or 3 there is a choral para that hint of this possibility. In any case it was a free concert given in a first class auditorium.

The last part of the Concert was entirely different (was not recorded by me). He was totally dynamic and forceful using the Yamaha electronic organ (synthethizer?) which he evidently practiced a lot !!

Perhaps this will someday appear!

I too am not a Sri Chinmoy follower. I was just invited! I was not able to fully record this concert. In the last part he played the Synthesizer very well and with unusual zest and energy.

See also "The life of Sri Chinmoy part 3". In there he played a full featured large organ that sounded amazingly similar to the systhesizer. A final "tour de force"!! The hall was shocked by the noisy and brilliant ending to the Peace Concert. That final part was bit controversial. Entirely shocking!!

I went to a Sri Chinmoy concert at the Hec Admundson pavilion in Seattle about 2 years ago. My expectations of a very talented muscians were at a great high. I was GRAVELY DISAPPOINTED!! And so were many others. People began to work out after 15 minutes - I left after about 45 minutes giving him every chance to show that he was a muscian. He isn't.

The positive thing was all the people and sense of humanity in the sort of stillness before hand. But that really had nothing to do w/him.

sri chinmoy never charged money nor accepted it for performances. to be in the room as he, while meditating, played instruments which he had never tried before, was to identify completely with the child that was him or is me or is in you. one becomes the child, one is the music. i love rock concerts, but none could compare to the overwhelming awe and sense of peace in the afterglow of a sri chinmoy concert. his meditation technique is powerful and requires no teaching: sit silently.

Sri Chinmoy was a true spiritual teacher. Too bad he didn't get the Peace Nobel Prize. Came close. At such an old age how he still worked tirelessly for peace! His powerful meditation was unparalleled. I attended many of his free concerts and there was a feeling of tangible peace everywhere. Very nice. Evidently he had practiced it a lot and was very dynamic and rather "unpeaceful" but brilliant. He played like a teenager!! Awesome!!!

I knew this man personally. I was his disciple for many years. I interacted with him at his home and helped him with his musical intruments and other projects. He was a complex man. The public person was all "perfection" but in his private life he could be and was often cruel. Chinmoy exhibited symptoms of paranoia and mental imbalance. He was no great man - he was a fake guru.

That proverb doesn't apply to everything, especially when a fake guru such as Chinmoy has hurt many people as well as "helped" people. I would guess that you helped yourself more than he helped you.

Give yourself some credit instead of giving it to others.

Chinmoy was not an avatar, not a good guru. He was in it for himself and these concerts were nothing more than to satisfy his own ego.

....'energizing vampirism' is not to be taken literally. It is not a 'movie' or a 'cartoon'. It is a subtle matter, understood only by a subtle sensuality.

By 'energizing vampire' is to be meant someone who does't not radiate the light(jyothi) of The Lord(Brahma-Krishna), but who focuses and collects the energies of his desciples and re-radiates them as a pretender of Lord's succession.

I actually attended one of his concerts. Negativity. would be the word to describe the aura that he and his followers radiated. The cultish atmosphere was actually scary and I had to leave. The way that the disciples medidate is by staring at a photo of him and bowing down. That is twisted. Im not speaking out of fear, but genuine concern for the people being taken advantage of in this cult, in which many of the members are young children.

It's not a cult and his students meditate on his the consciousness of his photo not the human part of his being. It's easier to meditate when concentrating on something rather than concentrating on nothing. Nothing leaves too much room for other thoughts but when you think of only 1 thing then other thoughts dwindle away. The nevativity from the concert was probably coming from you, not the "aura he and his disciples radiated"

The choral part was very charming and seeing the students sing with such gentle emotion was a very cherished moment. I was fortunate to have captured this Concert almost completely.

I was at dozens and dozens of his concerts. I both attended them in the audience and also worked on setting up the stage and working with the instruments, etc. The way the disciples behaved and interacted with the public at these concerts was oftentimes bizarre!  As his disciple during those times it started to become obvious to me that my little spiritual group was a cult and that Chinmoy was a fake guru. Certainly he was a fake musician - that guy had minimal musical talent.
