Beautiful video - and an extremely kind-hearted person caring for the cutest horse i have ever seen!! May God bless you with all the love that you have given Smooch, I am sure it will be more than enough for at least 5 human lifetimes!! It was an enriching experience seeing the video, reading the description and of course - it was heart-breaking to read that the poor thing had to be put to sleep. But, he had the best life he could imagine I am sure and is in Heaven now, thanking you!!

den schweif mal abschneiden und die hinterhufen sind viel zu lang. das kleine ding muss ja schmerzen haben beim laufen, wird sich aber mit der zeit wohl schon daran gewöhnt haben.

Absolutely precious!!! You obviously loved Smooch - having pets that have had medical problems, I know what a huge commitment it is to take care of them. You can tell by his playfulness that he was loving life. I was so sad to get to the bottom of your post and read that he was gone. Awww I'm glad to for once be able to read of genuinely responsible choices all round. I see so many cases in dogs, cats and horses where they ignore genetic problems in a handful of foals in the hope of breeding a few show winners. Only thing is, cryptorchidism doesn't mean an animal can't breed just that it is highly unlikely to be successful. Normally not worth the risk but I can't see this little fella being able to sneak a lucky quick one.

He looks like a very hairy dog, he looks like he is trying to play with you by bitting on you cause I think if he really wanted to hurt you I think he would have been bitting a lot harder than that because I used to have a mini stallion that had HORRIBLE feet that were never trimmed and he could barely walk and you can CLEARLY tell his hooves were not bothering him so I don't see why ppl would say there is something wrong with his feet.

It makes me mad that people want everything exactly to the corect size for their convenience, even horses. I entirely disapprove of breeding mini horses. There are accidents, like this pathetic deformed horse, whith organs to big for his frame. If people don't have enough space for a horse, even a pony, then they shouldn't want a horse at all costs. I applaud you for making the decision to euthanise him. Many cannot see the faults in one's own horse and just has to make them linger because they can't face that the animal is in pain and has issues. I think you're brave for being able to do that.

He was lucky to have a good family to give him a good life. Its expensive taking care of a horse...its crazy how much one puts out for an animal with special needs, so a lot of people would have had him put down right away..what a shame. You can really see how much he enjoyed life for the time he had. The world needs more good people like you :)

He obviously enjoyed his life with you and his "sibling" dog.
