My main argument is the freedom issue-that people have the right to their bodies and lives. Some people disagree. But to say that it wouldn't be good for the economy is pure lunacy, and he knows it. Hemp provides a food product that is a complete protein, better than soy, that provides both types of omega fatty acids needed to sustain circulatory health. Hemp can also be used to produce bio-diesel. paper, cloth, rope, non-toxic insulation, biodegradable plastics, medicines..cheaply, i might add

It may not be a good strategy to grow the economy, but it would both:

1. Decrease incarceration on non-violent offenders, saving taxpayer money

2. Take money out of the hands of drug cartels and gangs, reducing violence

So are keepin dumb kids out of jail and lowering the murder rate not good enough reasons?

It will also increase accidents and death for people who drive impaired. It will cause more people to be incarcarated due to people not complying with regulations, since it is more abundant. Give cartels more freedom to exercise their grip in South America.

Actually, if we take away the cartels markets and hand over marijuana production to federal control and tax, we can curb that market out of them.
