That's strange about FreeCreditReport. I remember signing up for that site a few years back but nothing ever happened. I remember it drafting out $30 bucks for getting all three credit checks and $15 for the first month. That makes $45 but I remember authorizing it. Hmm... Maybe the website goofed. Hope you get it all straightened out.

That sucks about the scam :( But a legit, free website is annualcreditreport and you are eligible for one free report from each bureau a year. I've used it a bunch of times. It even says on their site that it "is the only service authorized by Equifax, Experian and TransUnion for this purpose. The three nationwide consumer credit reporting companies have always encouraged consumers to regularly review their credit reports."
@C4r15t1n3 I will back them up on this. Annualcreditreport is awesome and does NOT ask for your bank or credit card info. We've used them for 2 years now and love them!
I have only made it 23 seconds into the video so far, but thought I'd comment just based on the title. If you call all three credit reporting agencies, they will give you a free copy of each report once per year. No need to go through any other company that will charge. I do this every year and I also put an alert on my credit so if anyone tries to get credit in my name, they will call me to approve it. Don't worry, I'm going to watch the rest of the video now :)
If you read the small print ..it says it will bill you, they were right..it is on the site...so you cancel before it bills you..I've used them a bunch of times..no problems
@scorpioizzle1511 why did they bill me and not junior? and they never sent me updates as the guy said they would over the phone, as well as the bank said it was a scam and happening to many people. glad you had no problems.
@mommy2logan112604 no biggy about the freecreditreport thing, my bank took all charges off and said it happened to many people. themomof6boys said she sent one weeks ago and we havent gotten it yet. i wasnt expecting any except hers. its the thought that counts even if we get it monday. thanks so much!
