  • Wished I had one of those. The MIM Toronados were the best.

  • I don't know what you think, but i hear just a 'Clapton-Beano' way of playing; really good !!

  • Gorgeous...... I want one of these so badly.....

  • Not sure why anyone would dislike this, whether it's their style or not it's still some obviously nice playing. You have a very nice guitar and some nice chops as well.

  • Damn, is this a goooood gee-tarrr! Problem is it's so good, you won't see them at used guitar stores. Their owners aren't willing to let them go. Why did you have to discontinue this beauty, Fender?

  • @yongadog

I have one from 2000 bought it new and will never ever let her go.....!!!

    :D

  • @randomtwit Amen! It's too beautiful to give up!

  • I have the same guitar, also from 03 and I love it. Its neck has a bit of meat and the tones are fat and clear. Its like a slightly brighter les paul, which is a great place to be.

I also have the Full drive 2 mosfet which this guitar loves, almost as much as the OCD.

Great playing as well, wonderfull blues tone.

  • @0re6an0 man it was a joke! I didn't critisize his playing :)

  • that little thing stickin' out of your hand next to your ring finger looks like its for no use, should i cut it off for you? ^^

  • @asdfalex12345 stfu asshole he's awesome

  • raw 'n crunchy, luv it man

  • bro, i've been looking for this mexican made fender, could you please give the exact model info, i've being going crazy, i would greatly appreciate it

  • Nice blues. Reminds me of Mike Bloomfield's style.

  • 650 euros

  • Cheers, good playing man 5 star

  • I own one of these babies. I am thinking of selling it , it's been discontinued by Fender any ideas how much one is worth now?

  • Almost 3 minutes!

my fingers don't last longer than 1 minute haha

    nice sound

    good stuff man!

love to have one instead of my Jag

  • Great playing, great tone!

Now I'm GASing badly for one of these bad boys....

  • Great playing. I was once offered $1200 believe it or not for mine - first issue artic white Mexican made/Gibson Humbuckers. Apparently has some collectibility that first series. Such a comfortable player. You can bend strings a mile. Always in tune. Always! I almost sold it but just couldn't part with it in the end.

  • good job man! fulltone fulldrive 2? awesome pedal. i have that one and the ocd.

  • BTW, poster...you are really good!

  • does anyone know where i can get one? are they still manufactured?

  • Good glory! Not often I see a vid on youtube and think to myself "wow!", but this time, I did think that. You're a hell of a lead player, sir.

  • do they still sell these I want one

  • Hey I have a Red Fender Tornado GT(2003 I believe) and I was wondering if anyone had a price range on my intstrument? I'm tryng to sell it so anything helps, Take care.

  • hi man! great palying! I've been wondering what scale is the neck of this guitar? 24 3/4 or 25 1/2? thanx!

  • sorry man... but i can´t remember...but i think ... vol. max. ...tone at 2 o´clock .... overdrive at noon and boost at 10 ...something like that

  • you have a weak pinkie finger man! Work on it

  • What were your settings on the fulldrive?

  • i love offset waist guitars. i plan to own a Stang, Jag, Jazzie, Duo-sonic, Toronado, Cyclone, and maybe an Ibanez Talman electric. :)

  • i heard these are made in mexico but are american parts!

  • thats the story with all mexicans

  • no not all mexicans, just a few, thats teh only reason why the usa models are superior quality, its teh electronics and wood which make teh differnece i believe, as both mexican and usa strats are constructed well

  • you're right, but the "teh" was so damn annoying!

  • yeah i know soz lol, its cause i type my "the" to fast or something and i end up pressing the e before the h, i need to learn touch typing

  • lol "teh" ? ;)

  • lol i know, when i type "the" it always comes out "teh" cause i just rush my tyoing and so for some reason i manage to type the e after the h, even though i goto press the "h" key first. -now ive probs confused you even more lol

  • so teh guitar is made in mexico? lol

  • hey you're good

  • Awesome playing and tone!

It's always cool to see that there are other Toronado fans out there. I love my '98 edition :)

  • yeah! love to see some other toronado fans as well! too bad it was a discontinued product by Fender since 2007.

  • Yes Pity it was... I love my 1998 edition aswell... best guitar i got my hands on, great tone, vintage looks. too bad they are so rare in australia...:(

  • Excellent job! +++

  • Yeah man! great guitar playing....hot stuff!

  • Brillaint tone, feel and phrasing - Outstanding man, five stars!!

  • Hi freightloader! i´m sure it´s a mexican one (says: made in mexico and the serial number sarts with MZ ;) )

    But you´re right! 22 frets :|

My tuning is a half step down like hendrix did!

    e - eb

    a - ab

    and so on .....

I don´t have any orange amp... love to...

It´s a fender twin reverb with fulldrive 2 and the boss rv-5.

The sound of all my videos was recorded with a photo camara that records video....so the sound it´s not so good :|

    thank´s for your message

  • The tone is to die for and I know that most of it's coming from your fingers, not the equipment. Are you sure that's a Mexican ? The ones I've come across only have 21 frets, the American built ones have 22 like yours.

Are you tuned down a step? Sounds like you're in A but playing 1 fret higher.

  • Great playing!

    Keep up good work.

  • Excellent stuff...and a very fine tone.

  • pretty damn good bro.

  • "Just a few mistakes" Your tone, your skill is wonderful and a few mistakes which I didn't even pick up on until after watching your video and reading your description aren't going to keep me from enjoying your delectable improv madness : ) How do I hire you as a studio musician?(haha if I could afford you lol) 5* + Fav'd Cheers, ~Mary

  • That's some intense blues! Five stars from me!

  • keep goin' man, I like it !

  • hearing some great SRV influenced licks. keep it up!

  • sounds great mate - tell it how it is

  • Hi carlguage...No this is a guitar from the years 2000

The "vintage" look it´s because the shape of this guitar and the "atomic hambuckers". I try it and love the sound..it´s a heavy guitar with great pickups (lots of sustain) and a nice action. The american one´s have a look more modern and they sound more "heavier" .

  • Please please use your strat, sweet lick's need to hear that on fender's sister!!!

  • Great sound great jam again!

  • Great work Man.. Is that a Vintage Fender or did they remake those?.. Nice tone on it either way!!Nice to hear some more of Your Own Chops in this ViD...gave you a 5

  • Great tone, love the "power" you've got in your playing, great,

    Alan,

  • Tasty cubed is more like it!

  • damn that's tasty

  • Great tone,thanks buddy!

    5*

  • nice one man! keep up the good work
