heyy i live in wentworth falls nsw i saw a baby one this afternoon so i got a slab of meat brok it up and it flew onto my varanda and took it from my hand ate it right next to me! i was shocked it did that they very rare here almost extinted never seen one in my life ived lived here my hole life ONE AWESOME BIRD :)

This isn't rare. It is actually common in the wild. The females kookaburras have no blue, while the males are the ones with the blue. That is just a male.
