  • I think this song would be really really good if it were sung female vocalist (possibly the same one who sang Black Milk).

  • Simple lyrics when mixed into beautiful music makes for an out of this world song - one of my favorites from Massive Attack

  • anyone got the instrumental of this one?

  • This is easily one of my favorite Massive Attack songs.

  • synesthesia

  • Horace Andy is a living legend!!

  • the sound of paranoia

  • masterpiece.

  • I swear I'm the only person who's not a pothead and listens to this.

  • @LordFrood Not a pothead, but enjoy having sex on this type of music.

  • @TrippyHopper

Yeah man, it is pretty chill. You could almost do anything with this music playing.

  • listen to this song after smoking weed.

    W O W

  • @CPS630 thats bullshit it doesnt matter whether you're stoned or not. weed doesn't enhance your musical appreciation by any means. looking at your channel it seems that you only created the channel to post this ignorant comment. what are the teens that haev never used, but are curious about weed, gonna think? seriously there's nothing special about weed. its dumb.

  • @thefactandthefiction But it does increase the senses in the body and mind. You might not know, because you've never smoked weed and thus never experienced it. Music sounds absolutely beautiful while stoned.

  • @illusivegam3r or i might know because im speaking from personal experience and personal observation - and thats why im assured that it doesnt. music is amazing enough and our mind is powerful enough without weed. weed slows the mind down, can cause depression and it burns at a way higher temp than baccy. im sure the government would love to get more ppl addicted to tobacco thru weed and make ppl dumb, cos thats their job. illuminati.

  • @illusivegam3r I have to agree with thefactionfiction - the stuff is illegal for a reason and although I have never hexperienced the stuff I am lead to belive that the same feeling can be created in safer ways, and you can apreciate the beauty of music better for what it is when you can think straight...

  • fuck i really want an intrumental to this song. the singer kills it in a bad way

  • @connorsparks disagree

  • bang against my wall

    bang against my wall

    no rest at all

  • Had this fucking tune stuck in my head all day.

Need to learn the lyrics so I'm not repeating the same phrase over and over to myself.

  • This song is Not about the Drogs ! It's Perfect Just The way it is ... It's a Trip Song by Itself !

  • @Missabc099 IKR

  • This song is so fuckin awesome i am so listening to this l8r while watching paranormal activity lol

  • This is an incredible song & group sound! Beautiful, dark, male vocals, rock background yet trip hoppy style, hard to categorize which makes me love their music even more. LOVE this song & band, thanks for the upload & share.

  • one of my favourite albums, perfect for a quiet smoking night in

  • listened to tis song while trippin so hard and passed out :)

  • There is a man that live next door

    In my neighborhood

    In my neighborhood

    And he gets me down...

  • the 15 ppl are the noisy neighbors that get someone down and get in so late at night causing a fuss n fight

  • Fuck it, I even liked it before I was sure which song exactly it was. It's so friggin awsome! All hail Massive Attack!!!!!!1

  • always a fussy fart

  • I want to get drunk and listen to this entire album. So trippy.

  • @coralin378 Or you could take mushrooms and listen to it, now that would be very trippy.

  • Always a fuzzy fart!

  • HA HA i showed this song to my parent when i was in college and my dad said its sounds like something you would pop a quaalude to...i had to ask what a quaalude was. lol

  • OH EM GEE! MUM WOULD LOVE THIS!!!! :D

  • ALL TROUGH THE NIGHT HUH HUH lolz

  • do not combine cannabis with this album ... ur nervs will get blasted, in a postive way for sure

  • If you like this try the other versions by The Paragons and Dennis Brown

  • Wait, why are the members of the Cure also credited? Because of the sampling of 10:15 Saturday Night? ...Or for another reason?

  • i wanna marry this song

  • This is the musical form of sex. Massive Attack is such a unique band. Each song is so layered and intricate, and always worth repetitive listens.

  • if I could have sex with this song I WOULD !

  • Man, I first thought the vocals were by Layne Stayley...

  • @yayshe doesnt sound anything like him...

  • ive got to take my family-ee-ee-ee-ee...

  • mezzanine è uno dei capolovori più grandi.....album che rimarrà nella storia....

  • Micheal Stype has competition.

  • I thought it was a japanese dude singing.

  • @RawbThatPunk ROFL

  • @RawbThatPunk Nope. He's jamaican.

  • i used to like this song... untill I heard his voice properly; he can sing allright, but he's so proud of his voice it just gets silly. I can't listen to this track because he loves himself too much. it's annoying.

  • my neighbours are freaking me out and i thought of this .

  • Eargasm.

  • 11 people were tripping so hard they hit dislike by accident

  • @sebastiankk007 5 more people tripped over those people and hit dislike by accident as well.

  • @sdhbassclef87 and then another 5

  • this isn't the same song as the first time i listened to it or am i really just that high

  • Gotta love The Cure

  • fuck, this is good!

  • Reminds me of 'Cat's in the Cradle' by harry chapin

  • Drip Drip Drip Drip Drip Drip.

  • Can anyone else hear "10.15 Saturday night" by The Cure at 3m10s?

  • @Rumpio Yep.I love what they did w/ it

  • this is a great song to drive to.

  • @woadancincolours

if i listen this while driving in my volvo s70r im not driving 80km/h where im allowed to but im driving like 180km/h

  • @delotusbloem wow ok I think u need to chill a little I can't NOT obey the speed limit when this plays because I want to see everything when I'm driving by (then again I'm usually a little baked, not enough to affect my driving but still)

  • @woadancincolours at least you weren't a little drunk. Then you'd be stupid. :)

  • un cd non mio che capita casualmente sulla mia macchina....e ora non riesco ad ascoltare altro per di più mi fa pensare a cosaccie...

  • it always sounded like fussy fart to me:D then had decided it was fussy front

  • Ironically, the Man Next Door to me just came round and told me to turn this song down. MINDFUCK FTW.

  • @BreakRightIntoHeaven dude. you do realize that for him YOU'RE the 'man next door'

  • @secularwin

do you also realize that for the aliens, WE are the aliens.

  • @Pisdetz and i just shit a brick

  • thought vocals were jr of badbrains for yrs, every day a school day

  • this guy's vocals remind me of a reggae mike patton. i absolutely love it.

  • 11 people 'dun kno blud' idiots. lol

  • Perfect style. Kiss from France

  • culte à tout jamais

  • no offence to ferrari 312pb, but why on earth would it lyrics be 'fussing fart'?

But a great song all the same.

  • @kingdion69 hey, in his defense, i thought that's what he was saying too because of his accent.

  • love this, perfectly describe my neigbors from Hell...and how I need to leave to Canada!

  • Just listened to the Dennis Brown version. I always thought it was "fussing fa-rt" but it's "fuss and fight"... .

  • Just listened to the Dennis Brown version. I always thought it was "fussing fart" but it's "fuss and fight"... .

  • GAH. so lovely.

  • i know

  • dubstep bollocks

  • @villapie1 this isn't dubstep

  • Would love to hear a dubstep version of this

  • I am 7

  • Worst song on the album. I mean, it isn't that bad, but it's not as good as the others on this album. You should check out Dennis Brown's version, it's so much better (his vocals are just pure gold)

  • @kaisamsa paragons versions is SOLID gold tho¬¬¬ No disrespect to D E B.... but the original IS the thing here!!!

  • Correct me if i'm wrong, but i believe that parts of the beat have been sampled from Led Zeppelin's "When the levee Breaks" and 10:15 saturday night by the cure?

  • Check out Dennis Brown version of this song

  • I like that they sing about "something",,,

  • " There is a man that live next door In my neighborhood And he gets me down. "

    love it.

  • Mezzanine is an absolute classic album, so atmospheric.

  • great song to be stoned on.

  • Classic from Jamaica !

  • Horace Andy is one of the best jamaican vocalists (besides Delroy Wilson, John Holt, Leroy Sibbles and Ken Boothe). Without his voice this version would not be as half as good.

  • SO MANY SWEETY MEMORYS IN MY LIFE!!!

  • This is the first song I have ever been able to listen to on repeat for 3 days straight - and its still good.

  • Is all about Horace Andy

    what a singer.

    respect

  • awesome !!! great song!!

  • The coolest voice I've ever heard sing in my life. This song is just sex for my ears.

  • One of my favs from "Mezzanine" with "Dissolved Girl" and "Risingson".

  • good music nice song.... when am stoned lol

  • nice led zeppelin drums. when the levee breaks.

  • Fkin good song :)

  • one of the best songs ever made by massive attack...smooth....

  • SICK SONG ;)

  • Il brano più psichedelico e nostalgico dei Massive Attack!

  • today thanks to this song i suddenly realize what it all means 2 me cause I grew up like that man next door but it weren't my neighborhood it was at my home ..years and years of the past are now transcendent-ed

Thank You Brothers and Sisters, you get me up

  • better than the original :D

  • @Boxoholic1994 nah pal. just, nah

  • i love this song. one of thier best yet

  • Always think of The Cure's "10:15 Saturday Night" when they do that "drip drip drip drip..." thang...not sure if it's a sample or even related. Great tune! Horace still had it at the age of 60-70 something when this dropped!! Love the stutter-ending to his words on this version! TUUUUNE!!!!

  • @donnywal

It is indeed a sample of 10:15 and might I say sir, you have impeccable taste!

  • love this song!!!! first heard it in 1998 , at Kadinsky's Coffeeshop in Amsterdam

  • In my neighborhoOoOoOd - cool tremolo :-)

  • Best version i have heard is by dennis brown

  • Of all the songs on the album this one always stuck out the most to me. His vocals are just awesome. Thanks dude.

  • Big Chune!!! Horace Andy at his best...

  • CHECK THE ORIGINAL by JOHN HOLT and THE PARAGONS

  • @niekhorst The original? The Cure of course!

  • @nord1967sur no.

  • Comment removed

  • saw this guy live, he's so ... fucking awesome, no words to describe.

  • Sometimes i feel this track so bad..! Time 2 get back home..!!

  • Best album art ever

  • everything after the 90's is just getting worse and worse

  • Who sings this song?

  • Vocals by Horace Andy.

  • I'm a bit confused.... ' Man Next Door' is Massive Attacks re-working of John Holt and the Paragons " A Quiet Place'.. yet two members of the Cure seem to be credited with writing it... I don't think so. And for the guy writing about 'automatic limiting'? Do some research people...

  • @papillon2601 - yes- it is a John Holt, but MA also used a sample from one of The Cure songs on this track (sorry I dont kno which).

  • Comment removed

  • silvia1...your comments got me chuckling...you bin at the high grade?...respect!!!

  • the cover art is so awesome if you stare at it closely it gets bigger and bigger

  • I never worked it out all these years... is he saying.... "always a fussy fart...." ??

  • No he's saying always a fuss and fight.

  • and lol tolhurst worked with le cure. great bands

  • the love i feel for this song is phenomenal, every note PERFECT

  • one of the greatest songs of MA imo.

    truly amazing..

  • I like how the drums interludes sound like someone slamming doors, making a load of racket "next door".

  • There's a problem with the audio... everytime the bass hits the overall volume goes down (noticeable especially in the beginning). Strange....

  • i think that's intentional. personally, i like the effect.

  • If by intentional you mean that the video's poster made the effect then yes, possibly. But it's not on the original album song.

  • prolly just youtube compression durin the upload

  • It's probably due to lossy audio compression.

  • because of the automatic limiter !

  • What exactly do you call 'automatic limiter'?

  • sry for my english^^ thats when a song is simpy recorded.

  • but that was not the answer, thats a built in system in for example an audio recorder, it turns the volume down if there is a loud heavy noise (pluck).

  • It's not your English I just looked up automatic limiter and you're right it sounds like exactly that. What I don't understand is why this upload was subject to it.

  • faltou este tema para o pleno em LISBOA.

  • massive attack tricky wow what music OPEN MY MIND

  • the drums kinda sound like a remixed version of when hte levee breaks

  • I just fucking love it when the bass kicks in at 0:29 Massive Attack = British Trip Hop in its Finest

  • dude the bass is so fucking epic in this piece, it reminds me of the bass from the servant's "cells" song even though the genres are totally unrelated..AWESOME SHIT!

  • The bass actually kicks from 0:00

  • How about you simply enjoy the song without the need of being pedantic over superficial facts. d'accord? :)

  • lol, it's just that the real bass in the song (the very deep stuff) starts right at the beginning :-) but you're right I'm being pedantic

  • groot gelijk,man!

  • first time hearin this song, AND I LIKE IT ha

  • Me too.

  • very good music you have to come in greece to hear them

  • Im so glad i grew up in bristol in the 90's

massive attack, tricky, portishead..... good times.

  • Jealous, bristol in the noughties.. still good, but it's no trip hop.

  • this song made me collect all albums:) love it
