Ah my Dad got me into Feelgood when i was a kid by constantly playing all their albums,one of my first musical memories is the cover of 'Down by the Jetty'!!
This must have been so exciting in the days when the music scene was dominated by long-haired stoners making concept albums about King Arthur and UFOs complete with synthesizers and week long guitar solos
I don't think I have ever seen more accurate description of the mid 70's music scene. I survived on blues and Dr. Feelgood. I don't appreciate you reminding me of EL&P and Mike Oldfield. Fuckin' in-a-gada-da-vida

Amazing memories - everyone thought they were all over when Wilko split, but Mayo unbelievably brought something different but just as good to the party. Yes Be Seeing You is brilliant, as is Sneakin Suspicion the last Wilko album. I saw them a couple of times in the various eras - and I can still remember that fantastic blood-rush of seeing and hearing them live. I can even still remember that stupendous jacket Lee Brilleaux is wearing in this clip!! RIP
I read one review way back then about "Gypie" Mayo replacing Wilko Johnson on guitar; it said "Mayo rocks with only about 2% less acid than Johnson", and I agree. The lineup with him was fantastic, just listen to the live album "As it happens". Great stuff!
Thanks for posting this clip of a criminally underrated band!
saw Wilko on tour in Glasgow this year even better now

I agree with you - Be Seeing You is their best album, without doubt.

I know its sacriligious to admit it but 'Be Seeing You' is my favourite Feelgood album. And the first 4 are all next.

@shufflevans - I agree - it's their most consistent album of the first 5.
