I love how they used forced perspective on this. At first I thought it was the camera, but I eventually saw that when Facilier goes through the "I hope you're satisfied, but if you ain't-" bit, we're seeing it from Naveen's point of view, which explains the green stuff getting in the way and the reason Facilier seems to get taller.
Great villain song! Not as good as "Be prepared" or "Hellfire", but still enjoyable. I love how graphic the whole video was, especially the voodoo scene!
They're tarot cards. The first one for Naveen is 4, The Emperor I s'pose? 16 is for The Tower. Last is 9. I'm guessing it's the 9 of Cups. So it'd read like "In the past I was great and in charge, presently my world is falling apart, and in the future with money I'll be happy again."
Lawrence's was 10, which is the Wheel of Fortune. Wiki says it, "represents the intercession of random chance into the Fool's path."
Not too good with tarot cards, but that's what I got from it.
@yuiidragon I decided to poke around a bit further, and there's another representation there. The IX card shows Naveen and his bride with her father on a pile of money. The Nine of Coins represents someone who has achieved success and fortunate through hard work and determination.
Gotta tell ya, in my opinion, this lacked a bit more energy and orchestra. At times it just felt like he was just talking in rhymes as if the "song" part was over already. And his design feels a bit empty too. Maybe animating things like flamboyant skull necklaces or creepier skin with funkier hair would've been to much for the animators.
.......what the hell was that, do you really think of jazz like music and what ever theh ell all fo that was. its not compleatly bad but what happened to song like be prepaired andh ell fire, when disney songs were powerful masterpeices with enchantingi mergy and power. i know this film took disney into a more political correct (despite the obvious steriotype jazz) but i think ti shoudl go back to its roots a bit
@goth9ever XD you do realize that Lion King was half influenced by western music and half african? The whole point of this film is not to be politically correct, it's to tekk a story with music to enhance it. Disney explored many styles of music, jazz is just another.

I love how they used forced perspective on this. At first I thought it was the camera, but I eventually saw that when Facilier goes through the "I hope you're satisfied, but if you ain't-" bit, we're seeing it from Naveen's point of view, which explains the green stuff getting in the way and the reason Facilier seems to get taller.

Great villain song! Not as good as "Be prepared" or "Hellfire", but still enjoyable. I love how graphic the whole video was, especially the voodoo scene!

They're tarot cards. The first one for Naveen is 4, The Emperor I s'pose? 16 is for The Tower. Last is 9. I'm guessing it's the 9 of Cups. So it'd read like "In the past I was great and in charge, presently my world is falling apart, and in the future with money I'll be happy again."
Lawrence's was 10, which is the Wheel of Fortune. Wiki says it, "represents the intercession of random chance into the Fool's path."
Not too good with tarot cards, but that's what I got from it.

@yuiidragon I decided to poke around a bit further, and there's another representation there. The IX card shows Naveen and his bride with her father on a pile of money. The Nine of Coins represents someone who has achieved success and fortunate through hard work and determination.

Gotta tell ya, in my opinion, this lacked a bit more energy and orchestra. At times it just felt like he was just talking in rhymes as if the "song" part was over already. And his design feels a bit empty too. Maybe animating things like flamboyant skull necklaces or creepier skin with funkier hair would've been to much for the animators.

.......what the hell was that, do you really think of jazz like music and what ever theh ell all fo that was. its not compleatly bad but what happened to song like be prepaired andh ell fire, when disney songs were powerful masterpeices with enchantingi mergy and power. i know this film took disney into a more political correct (despite the obvious steriotype jazz) but i think ti shoudl go back to its roots a bit

@goth9ever XD you do realize that Lion King was half influenced by western music and half african? The whole point of this film is not to be politically correct, it's to tekk a story with music to enhance it. Disney explored many styles of music, jazz is just another.
