  • what he does not know is that they are just fing with him...LOL outside is a resort....FAIL

  • what do you mean you can't go outside? then, why the fuck did you go there? idiot

  • To report to YOU.

    MORON.

  • report what? no need to go to Afghanistan to show walls, dumb shit!

  • I wouldn't call it intense security as he does in the trailer, no one seems on edge or ducking for cover. All we get is this guys monotonous drivel, why not show us the real life and venture out from his sheltered 'prison' with a hidden camera - what is the point of this film.

  • Because it's not a cartoon you dunce.

  • I like your idea, how bout you go try that?

  • very very strange video

  • this is just for you my friend for normel people it is fine anyone can go out, what are trying to show with this video? like afghannistan is prison? my friend other day went and he is going any where he wants, why can't you just show some posiitive site of the country, enough these drama everything is fine there but just not for criminals with white cars and blue signs,

  • What's happening in Afghanistan is a perfect illustration of not learning from history. The British Empire at its height couldn't subdue the country, neither could the entire might of the old Soviet Union. For the life of me I can't see how they think it's going to be any different this time round.

  • Great Britain and the Soviet Union wanted to topple to Afghan government and take control for themselves, that isn't the attitude of the US.

  • I don't think that really matters, the result will be the same.

  • I have just shot a video for a company I used to work for - one of their employee's is an asylum seeker (successful) from Afghanistan the famous Tampa MV incident off Australia - he has just been back to see the rest of his family - super guy - saved from a terrible fate by the NZ government.

  • Robert, thanks for doing this. It's very brave to go there. This shot of you stuck behind that drab barricade, unable to go out, is strangely compelling.

But I dont see why you don't have the " no shake" option activated. Steadycam, if you will.

The footage has a strange, quivering movement which adds nothing. Or are you shooting on a Flip Mino which has not shake control?

    Mike

  • I think it's filmed with a mobile device (Iphone or something), not a true camera.. They always shake that way.

  • why-are-you-talking-that-way?

  • American intelligence always says, 'Well, you can't evaluate our impact because our operations are covert.'

    THAT'S the problem!

Maybe they are -creating- all the problems!

    How do we know?

Secrecy is fundamentally incompatible with democracy. Secret operations are for corrupt dictators.

We all know what the best disinfectant is.

  • Isnt the best disinfectant a mothers spit?

  • no, it's Clorox. Fresh air & sunshine work well, though. Obama & Hilary are gonna do what W never intended; get !@#$%^ Bin Laden & other Quaeda bigshots. Like we needed to do in 2002 and invaded Iraq instead. Stupidest, crookedest, rottenest move of the century.

  • Newsflash for you 'badbass'

'Al Qaeda' is a US invention.

Instead of aiming your vitriol at anyone anywhere outside our own borders, PLEASE for God's sake, pick up where the Maryland $#00ter left off, only go for C#enee and his Neoc0n buddeez.

    PLEASE.

  • In a sense, the reason it is always the wrong people who design our Afghanistan/Pakistan policy is that decent people just throw up their hands and walk away from the problem.

Pakistan has nuclear weapons. Afghanistan has international terrorists. It's not a good combination.

The question is whether there is something we can do to aid the moderates.

    I don't have the answer.

Whenever we pour in money or guns into a country, we always seem to make things worse.

  • stfu

  • God's speed to you brother.

  • this video is odd

  • Hey. My parents and younger brother lived in Kabul for two and a half years, from 2005-2008. My brother wore a bullet proof jacket to school a lot, and they had high security to their home as well. I could tell you more if you want. They were working with an NGO. Let me know if you want to talk.

    Peace and Love...

Hope you are enjoying your stay. Despite the safety factor, Afghanistan is a great country full of some of the most beautiful and hopeful people.

  • Thanks, do you have any contact info?

  • be safe

  • Will they let you rig a boom for your cam and get shots from over the wall? Run an a/v cable to a laptop to get the viewfinder/
