it seems a pointless exercise to call upon McCance to apologize. after the extremity of his Facebook rhetoric, what apology could seem sincere?
his words were too "emotional", "over the top" etc.? there IS NOT a rational or polite way to wish aloud for LGBT people (including children) to kill themselves.
anyway, glad he had the sense to quit (or respond to pressure to do so)

Obviously the guy is a nut. However, the guy has a right to say what he wants as do you all. He has a right to believe what he wants and express his views. Of course it is ignorant to express those views if you are a public official and ignorant to have those views in the first place. The first amendment to the constitution protects unpopular speech as well as ridiculously biased independent media such as MidweekPolitics. Don't like the first amendment, too bad.

This guy is a Schoolboard VP and he didn't say "themselves" as Dave reads it here. I saw it on CNN and he actually wrote "thereselves". No joke. Leave the homophobia aside, this guy should've been fired for his grammar fail alone. No wonder our schools suck, our administrators are deedeedees.

I'm so glad you called Anderson Cooper out. He's played this game too long of trying to create some fake 'balance' every time a gay issue is discussed. But he NEVER provided 'balance' on African-American issues by inviting the KKK or Nazis on. This false equivalency thing is getting really old.

I admit that i say queer, but not in reference to homosexuals. I use it for the term strange.
but other then that i was raised by a person that doesn't hate people. So in my upbringing this wouldn't be acceptable. I dont think if you hold this view you should be "helping" kids with school related issues. I mean that if you do hold the view that they should die then how would you help other kids understand that people in this world are different then you.

Arkansas! come on Really ... the real world is moving forward with accepting the facts that homosexuals are apart our our human race and have been since the beginning of time. The problem people like him have is that they still have the belief that people choose homosexuality . That's like thinking people choose to be Black or Brown or Yellow or White. This is not a choice this is part of who a person is when they are conceived! Maybe we should forgive him because he was born an Asshole.

Great job, David. I was bullied in elementary school by THE PRINCIPAL who seemed to pick up on the fact that I was gay before I had words for it. He was a monster so to have an overseer of an entire school board in Arkansas like that - and worse - is/was terrible! @KennChaplin

He was only sorry because his pathetic family was getting death threats and rightfully so! yea yea two wrongs don't make a right I don't give a fuck. People like him deserve to be scared shitless for their family after making such comments. I'm SO for the eye for an eye system and glad he got a taste of what he was dishing out.
But back to the "apology", he was not in any way sorry for what he did and his lame excuse for an apology only proved that.
