By the way, was reading an article about Armenia athlets. They had 6 bronze medals on Olympics, but actually if you count guys who left the country recently to represent other countries like Abrahamyan, they would have 4 GOLD, 4 SILVER and 9 BRONZE... and the whole country has 2,5 - 3 millon of population! now that's a sportive country :) and actually they leave because the gouvernement doesn't give shit about sports, which is totally sad...

The referee that called the "foul" that cost Ara his championship was not only an Italian, but he was also the Italian Nation Team President, and the vice president of FILA. In other words, he was rich and connected and wanted his fighter to win, so he called a foul that was none. It's a scandal, it's fraud, it's sadly typical, and most important - IT WAS PLANNED! Normally, he should have never been a referee in that match!

@ruchieru A judge was corrupt, he wanted his opponent(Minguzzi) in the semi-final to win so he made sure that they ruled in Minguzzis favor when it was obvious to ANYONE who watch and know anything about the sport that it was bad calls and that Ara (the Swede) deserved that win. Ofcourse he was angry when it's his last competition, he aim for gold and he doesnt get it because a corrupte judge.

Look at the tae kwon do match between Sweden and Canada women yesterday. Canadian woman clearly kicked the ugly swede's ass but judges gave it to the swede. CHEAT! Sweden bribed the judge. I guess Sweden is desperate for any medal because they are so poor at sports.

Where else could he have protested if not on the podium? They laughed in his face when he protested after match... shows what kind of bias the judges had. minguzzi dominated abrahamian in semifinal from the beginning till the end, he is a great loser that cannot believe to lose with an outsider like minguzzi(gold medal in final). Jurie blocked the challenge for 15 minutes at replay before to decide victory of minguzzi.
If you look the match you see abrahamian ever on ground taken from minguzzi, he protest only because he was silver medal in athens and italian was an unknown man.

It sucks, and I wish there was a way they could do away with the whole REF thing in sports, but that seems almost impossible unless we get to an age where we always use instant replay to view matches many times over and by many people which would result in a pretty fair decision, but at this day in age is not possible.
It's sad when games or events are decided by poor ref judgement. NOBODY is perfect, but we could evolve the way things are currently reffed into a more precise system.

If he only had been quiet and taken the medal he'd have accepted defeat, not only in the Olympics but also by those in FILA under the accusation of beeing corrupt.
Ara's act is nothing short of heroism if there's any merit to his claims.

A mate of mine who does wrestling agrees with that the judging was always in the Italian's favor and that it otherwise would've been a close fight but likely in Ara's favor instead.
None of us hold any bias towards this guy.
As for his act, that's exactly what any person should do. He DID still wrestle in the bronze match, like a true gentleman. But when they wanted to award him the bronze, he rejected it and left in a protest.
Then they want to take away what he refused to accept? Funny.

Because he stood up for himself and for what he believed in. Yet despite his frustration he displayed gentleman conduct by still giving the bronze challenger a match, before declining the bronze medal.
It's sad that so many just assume that he's a sore looser, despite him not having displayed this type of behaviour in previous competitions.
There is a very real foundation to Ara's accusations here yet few are willing to look into it.

He did the right thing, its not okey with corrupted judges. He was winning the game and thats why that judge stoped the game and said that the Italian won, thaaats soo wierd. even the Italian said that he won in a funny way, and that says it all!..
