  • muchinda wehosho anga akapenga uyu

  • this is the best hosho on the internet, well... there is another one...

  • Okirakugama, thanks. That's our Zimbabwean traditional music. Tisu varidzi ve mbira nehosho.

  • The hosho player named Tonderai Piri.

I dedicate this video to the spirit of Tonde with huge respect.

His dance was beautiful with amazing steps .

His hosho and slap sticks added real spice in Mawungira sound.

I thank his permission for taking and up loading those videos now for the most.

I will remember what you taught me until i have them .

This is a gift from Tonde to share.

  • dzauya mombe...dzimwe dzine nyanga!....love it

  • that hosho player RULES!

If you know him, tell him he is GREAT

  • Okay I will:)

  • akapenga muface uyo - ane morari

  • could you please write in English?

  • 'morari' hahahha

  • I love hosho!!! It totally transforms the music! And you can hear all of the little tiny melodies inside of the music. This is so amazing! Okay, lesson over for today. I'll be back tomorrow. Thank you.

  • all I have to say is gbushe. This is the smack down of smackdowns! Everyone is puttin' it down and this is ain't new age music at all! It's straight up Blizzle Dizzle Krizzle Naughty Mac Nizzle. And the hosho player is most certainly a dingomatic Emcee!!! Yeah!! Ha ha!!!!

  • Sorry I do not understand most of your word.

Is there any problem?or are you happy ? or what?

  • This is just how my friends and I compliment music. This is one way that Black American's speak. Good things! Word!!!

  • LOL!!! cultural education and exchange on YouTube, Excellent!

  • They are great, and this is how fast all mbira playing is in Zimbabwe.

  • Thanks for the comment.

well, matter of fact, they play mbira much faster than traditional players not all players play this fast.

Incase of misunderstand of Shona culture I have to comment for this.

  • I should also clarify that it's not correct for me to say "all" mbira playing is that fast. Just most of it.

  • hota hota vakomana!

  • they must be zulu people who rush their beatings and dance. by real africa culture there are spiritual moment to fast play instrument. i surgest that they go borrow from west afrika and keep to melody,we are no more warriors.

  • Thank you foro your comment ,it is interesting comment. But They are shona people.

And motst of the songs are based on shona traditional music.

The deffernce from there traditional culture is that they play fast and use deffernt tuning instruments and way of singing.

Also create their own lylics. And create new way of hoso playing .

Sure I guess they should have a lots of influence from other culture but it is now infuluence the traditional culuture too.

  • Ndiep Shamwari!!! This IS Zimbabwe!!! Thank you for posting!
