lol look at the bottom: "Dramatization. Professional driver on closed course. Do not attempt. Always secure your pets." ... well that driving didn't look too professional :P
Oh man, I hope my dog doesn't see this commercial. I don't want her to get any wild ideas about taking my Subaru out for a joyride with her little dog friends.
That is understandable, do you also hear the audio simulation? It's also obvious an automatic doesn't sound like the RPMs has to be raised that high for an automatic. I don't want to be too technical, it was more of a joke. :)
What's not to get? All these ads were made for and run during the puppy bowl on animal planet. Also a little research into Subaru and you would realize that they sponsor the ASPCA, last couple years they have given money to ASPCA and other charities for every car they sold and have a nature preserve at their zero-land fill factory. I think this shows they totally get their target audience.
I didn't realize they were made for the puppy bowl. If you see my comment below, I watched these vids about a week before the Superbowl & Puppy bowl. The videos make no reference to the bowl, & I had no idea they sponsored the ASPCA.
Do they donate to any other charities? If so, do they make ads for those charities?
By the way - I'm a Subaru fan, I own a dog, I rescued him from a humane society a little over a year ago... & I still don't see the relevance outside of the puppybowl
Not sure on other charities. I know they have done "Share the Love" campaign where they donate money from every car they sell to a whole bunch of charities. And I am not sure what you meant by "do they make ads for those charities" as this ad wasn't for the ASPCA. As I said, these ads were made for the puppy bowl and I am pretty sure we will only see them run during dog shows.
@andr3wpd: When I said "do they make ads for other charities" I didn't mean directly make them "for" those charities. I was refering to your comment linking their support for the ASPCA with their target audience.
Looking at these videos from the viewpoint that they were designed for the puppy bowl and ran on Animal Planet to entertain pet-loving audiences around the country: I think it's cute and a great marketing ploy... I just miss seeing rally cars covered in mud flying through the air :)
i love the black dog... he's like "wait.. stop... back up... no!! dude!! wait!! ok now go forward!! ok stop!! no!! back up!! dude you just hit that guy's car!! go forward!! now stop!! i said stop!! ugh, your fine!! (inside thoughts: why do i even bother?!) LOL cutie!!!

Good to see that dogs can't parallel park any better than people---probably the last time most people parallel parked was for their driving exam!
