@LP2Videos Should be fine. I can run it maxed out settings at 40fps+ on my ATI 5770, 4gb ram and Core i3-530 2.93GHz. Pvp you'd probably want to lower the settings (especially during fort sieges/larger abyss battles) but it should run pretty well.
went Sorc. but now kinda regretting it,love my sorc and not playin an alt till way after lvl cap,but still.. i like the game play of the SM seems fun ^^
my opinion it's that every char/class has a WEAK SPOT so don't tell me a sorcerer can't beat a ranger.. or.. assasin.. or.. any other... depends.. what vs what are you thinking...:P every one has chances to win you must think quickly ....:D
i agree... just like templars kinda have SM's weakness... (pulling the SM u8p close but SM cannot fight in close range very well so the templar would have upper hand!)
@Kasildk i do ot agree on MA manastones...on endgame gear u should use HP mag res and maybe some magic accu especially if u hold an orb instead of book.
I'm sorry, but what? I have both a chanter and SM, and on my chanter I would either have the first strike on the SM, or not even bother. I don't want to say that you cannot beat an SM as a chanter, but beating a GOOD/DECENT SM as a chanter is nearly impossible. Regardless of consumables.

I play a SM myself, and they are gimped in certain aspects, Sure, not in 1v1 maybe, but our burst is Absolete, Doesnt exsist realy, And Dots dont stack, i wish personaly there was a diminishing returns on stacking dots, to make it a little bit more fair, but the biggest problem is the fact that most classes to some extent can gank, If we fl around with our pet, it dies from mobs, and takes several seconds to swoop down, Summon the spirit (which is most of our dps) and then try and gank.
They are both not the underdogs.. God! it feels like 1 person writes something on a forum, then 100 people read that and spread the word, without even having played themselves!!
SM are good in PVP, and so is a Chanter! IF you survive or die depends on your playstyle.. both classes have the option to flee.. Chanter can HOT, SM can CC while fleeing.. ofc, the point of 1 vs 1 is to kill.. but dont see this 1 vs 1 as an indicator for how good a class is! never look to 1 vs 1
SM is one of the "gimped" class w/o a doubt. but it is for sure the best PVP class, if you know how to play it. It takes a lot more control than other classes.
Sm has a lot of skill to slow and push back the enemy. Sm has one "fear" and another skill that transfrorm the enemy into an elemental spirit. The same skill cam be done against more then one enemy in the same time.
SM are not gimped right now. They are the only class that has to favor ground combat to get the most damage out of their class because pets cant fly.... yet.
Next patch pets can fly. Also even with ground pets a smart SM will either keep you grounded or can kill you without their pet.
Excellent pvp class. Also the most DoT oriented class and therefore sometimes can be gimp in PvE if other SM's are on your target.
No idea what chanters you have seen, but they are pretty good in 1v1. Sure they have below average dps, but they make up for their buffs and their healing, thats why they are known as a hybrid. Also chanters are awesome.

SM does lots of damage by removing buffs from the enemy. more buffs removed means more damage. and chanter is full of buffs. LOL!!!!!!

went Sorc. but now kinda regretting it,love my sorc and not playin an alt till way after lvl cap,but still.. i like the game play of the SM seems fun ^^

every class has a counter...as a sm i smoke sorcs/chanters/and sometimes bad glads and temps. On the other hand i get smoked by sins and rangers...

A good SM is nearly impossible to beat at 45+ on a 1v1 fight... you are feared/silenced the entire time.

They are underdogs right now no doubt, but they are very fun to play PvE and they are decent in PvP. They just take some time to get good with.

chanter is weak in 1vs1. Maybe you should reroll cleric, SM, Sorcerer, Assassin. Those class have good control and damage. Other class= weak
