The Shadow P3-Pro pick-up on my Lanikai 8-string tenor ukulele went dead on me. Would you know if the Bushman UK-2000 pick-up would be able to fit into the same hole to replace the Shadow P3-Pro? Mahalo for your kokua and mana'o. \m/
Check the battery lead for corrosion. Different sizes. Need to do a little cutting and make a wood collar to accommodate UK2000. But the new generation piezos are better, no battery, but uses a charger. Google Mi-Si.
Mahalo for the very interesting Mi-Si info, although it's a bit more than I was wanting to spend. So I'll be needing a wood collar to fit the UK2000? If I only knew what that was. :) Sounds like an adapter of some kind. They must have really different puka sizes. I was hoping they'd be similar. Would you know where I could get another Shadow P3-Pro from? I can't find any online. Mahalo again, Uncle. \m/
Thanks. I don't think so at this time because there are a lot of websites and a couple of books on how-to build a `uke. Hana Lima's book is probably the best. I just wanted to share tips on installing a pickup in a closed box because there was not much info out there for do it yourself types like me.
I prefer belcat over shadow if it's the EQ series.

Musician's Friend carries Shadow but not sure if they have the Pro in stock. Or try Roy Cone's ukulele world.

You're really good at this. Is there any chance you'll do some videos of the starting stages of construction?
