I am an Italian that grew up in the city. I also liked this guy when he came out in the 90s from the neighborhood. He was great. The amazing thing is Heavy has an outstanding voice and in some of his songs he sings partial and it is good. He stuff is respectful of women, and children. Molto bene mio fratello, rest well with God.
Heavy D could have songs that express a lot of sexuality but still maintain his class and show respect for women. That's a fine line to walk in dance music. Notice that all the beautiful ladies in the video are fully dressed, and Hev isn't rubbing on the video girls. Also, he shows off their dance skills, especially at the end, instead of showing off their bodies. After all, they're wearing mechanic jumpsuits! Man, now I want to party on an overturned bus too!

Heavy D's passing and I wish I was a teen then when music had soul and rhythm. I mean music now is okay but nothing can compare to the 90's. Im glad u enjoy the soundtrack of the teenage years lol

I am an Italian that grew up in the city. I also liked this guy when he came out in the 90s from the neighborhood. He was great. The amazing thing is Heavy has an outstanding voice and in some of his songs he sings partial and it is good. He stuff is respectful of women, and children. Molto bene mio fratello, rest well with God.

Heavy D could have songs that express a lot of sexuality but still maintain his class and show respect for women. That's a fine line to walk in dance music. Notice that all the beautiful ladies in the video are fully dressed, and Hev isn't rubbing on the video girls. Also, he shows off their dance skills, especially at the end, instead of showing off their bodies. After all, they're wearing mechanic jumpsuits! Man, now I want to party on an overturned bus too!

A true Hip Hop legend. He rapped about enjoying life, no killing, no hating. Just loving life. I can't listen to rap anymore because its just so negative and has lost its way. @gradymorrrowjr37 Yes, it was straight from the HEART! In 1987, I called Heavy D in his hotel room @ the Roosevelt Hotel IN LA. I explained 2 him that I was his biggest fan, & that I had obtained his birth name from a RIGHT ON magazine & that his concert at the LA Palladium with UTFO had sold out! He was so flattered that I had contacted him to tell him that I was his biggest fan. He told me that he wanted to meet me & that he would leave tix & backstage passes 4 me! I still have the pass &pics!
