I understand that many feel the federal response was slow; it was. But 90% of the looting was of material goods, not food.

This was an unnatural disaster. Bush allowed this to occur and dragged his feet because most of the people affected were poor and black. The white people "defending" their property I think just used the disaster as an excuse to commit hate crimes.

I noticed that when the video was shown it showed African Americans looting stores stealing 52 inch color televisions.
Now there is no electricity and no water and they chose to steal televisions and stereo's.
When white people looted they only took food and water.
They didn't smash windows on canal street and steal blue jeans and tennis shoes.
My local community market was looted and people took everything right down to the display shelves.
That store owner lost everything seem fair to you

Then lead a letter writing campaign for the FBI to start a federal investigation.
If they did this they deserve to be put on trial and then face a jury.
There is no stature of limitations on murder.
If these people have done this then let them be judged in a courtroom.
