I was also glad to see how Nick merely shook hands with his teammates and did not go into excessive celebratory hysterics like they do today. So great to see athletic excellence with good sportsmanship like we had in the old days.

Nick Eddy, Larry Conjar, Bob Gladieux, Rocky Blier --- what an awesome array of talent. If Terry Hanratty had not been injured in the 1966 matchup against MSU, they would have been undefeated that year.

One of the top 5 moments in the 400+ ND games that I have been at, watched on TV, or listened on the radio. It was my first game in the stadium as a freshman at ND in 1966.
