  • Oh Yes!!;o)

  • muito bom parabéns!

  • One of my all time favourites and I'm happy to say that I wasn't disappointed. Outstanding my friend :)

  • its perfect.

  • ахуеть просто. практически безупречно. вот это называеться ПЕРЕИГРАЛ. класс.

  • @Deee1982 Actually, I think, Hittar Cuesta's cover is much better.

  • @ArtKun95

There's always one, isn't there. Can't appreciate, has to criticise!

If only the world had more brilliant artists like Kilminster, and less critics.

  • @ReallyDontMindIf I didn't mean to criticise, this cover is insanely great, I just wanted people to see another one, which is my favorite.

  • Excelente!!!

  • Steve Vai - For the Love of God 100% FC by Dave Kilminster (Expert Realtar)!

  • HOT DOG!!! That was AWESOME!

  • I learned a lot from your video lesson. when I play this entire song I dedicate to you. thank my teacher

  • damn....

  • Sou Brasileiro, e achei legal, a música é facil de tocar, é dificil na hora do solo, até que da pra executar, mas executando o solo lento rsrs

    Nice movie

  • /watch?v=JqNRT9Vkoq0

  • What the hell was that sound at 1:56? Never heard something like that. Like a weird combo of some pinch harmonic, dead string note and whammy bar bend?

  • Repeat with me:

Practice, attitude, perseverance, struggle, sacrifice, overcoming.

Practice, attitude, perseverance, struggle, sacrifice, overcoming.

Keep repeating all along your entire life. You can use this for everything in your life, not just guitar. Congratulations Dave, a pure 10.

  • After watching this I got sad knowing that I won't ever achieve that level of skill...

  • @Erottaja2 not with that attitude

  • @MrCk1234567890 I'm just being realistic

  • @Erottaja2 not with that attitude

  • @michaelbryant21 realism.

  • @Erottaja2 if you expect not to achieve something then you wont.

a simple universal fact that apply s to almost everything.

if you say you cant get into college you probably wont, if you say you will never be a millionaire then you wont

always set high standards and whether or not you meet them chances are because you set such high standards that you tried to meet you will still be better off than the people with the attitude that they would never reach it to begin with

  • @michaelbryant21 first of all, that isn't a fact. even if you don't expect to achieve something it doesn't mean you won't. like lottery. and even if I'd set my sights on becoming something doesn't mean I will ever get even near it. playing guitar for my own enjoyment? yes, that is easy to achieve. begin able to play this song? no, that I will not achieve. realizing that is common sense and good for one's self-esteem. ever heard of genetics and body structure? 'cause they might limit one's effort

  • @Erottaja2 well if that works for you then i guess good for you.

the midset that i live by has enabled me to become good at every thing i do and really excel and the things i put a lot of my motivation into.

btw winning the lottery is not an achievement its a stroke of luck.

you wont master a skill with luck

  • @michaelbryant21 your statements made it seem like you were talking about things in general, and my example of lottery meant that even if you are determined to win you might not. same goes for any sports that demand skill; no matter how good you are, you might and will lose. luck comes in also. and I do not believe that you are good at everything you do. or then your standards are just much much lower than mine.

  • Very well done... The man should be very proud for being able to play this song. Everyone has their own version of a song. This was a great listening experience

  • Goose bumps all over...fuck yeah!

  • One word, ridiculous....

  • 1:15 HE EVEN COVERS THE PULLING OF HAIR THAT VAI DOES :)))))

  • @geia4 haahahaahahahaahaahahahahah

  • People, before commenting, check out Huesca's cover of this song and Bad Horsie. There is zero argument that Vai is a master but similarly, there is zero argument that he would have the best performance of the songs up on YouTube. I also checked several Vai's recorded versions from albums and they're no match either.

The only slight issue with Cesar's cover of *this* song is the beginning where he could have more feel. PS. I used to hate guitar sound until I heard his cover of Bad Horsie.

  • Only thing that bugs me is that he doesn't do any of the rakes in the song.....it's weird really.

What's amazing is that he plays what I consider to be the most difficult part of the song better than Steve Vai! 3:53 to 4:14

  • lmao Dave K plays Steve Vai with low gain........dude is awesome...

  • how do you record this ? please answer :)

  • Absolutely AMAZING!

  • te pasaste compadre (Y)

  • This is all wrong man. Next time get a fan for your hair and make the faces.

It's not Vai without the faces.

  • beyond the universe

  • amazingly good and close to the master one

  • This is basswood bodied MM JP or?

  • @Morenas1222 I think it is.

  • wow amazing idol.

  • omg

  • Even Steve Vai would take his hat off to that! Well done Dave.

  • @RIPGarymoore I agree!! :)))

  • fuck.. i give up

  • Best rendition of this beauty ive heard on here!!!!!!!steve vai would be impressed.......fair play to you my friend......vai is not unpayable and there is the proof right there!!!!!gr8 job

  • put a little more gain dude, btw awesome work

  • pure genius that man!

  • his vibrato really looks like Vai's

  • crap sustain

  • not bad ... but another proof that Vai is unplayble

  • @kubo0666 Arent you retarded? Vai isnt unplayable. Just takes a lot of time and consistent practice. Ofc youll not get exact to his live version cause vai himself says that live version with the orchestra says it's impossible for him to play it over again cause he was really getting the feel for it.

  • @metalhead6777777 and that is the point, the way he plays it live, his sound and his stage performance, you can learn to play an acdc song but try to play it live with such clean sound running around the stage ... maybe it is not the right example but that is what I was pointing at and don´t worry I am not retarted, retards are arguying, I am discussing

  • I'm digging the keyboard backing track, yo

  • this is BY FAR the best cover of this song I have ever seen, and I've seen many.

  • when I saw the guitar at the side bar I thought it was Petrucci! haha

  • wow that is pretty fucking impressive

    sick technique

as if u played this song since birth

  • SON OF A BITCH STOLE ANDY JAMES' GUITAR ;)

  • Still having trouble with the picking section at 3:17 but this guy teaches it really well. It's mostly down to stretching(for me) too haha.

  • beautiful sound, great playing!

  • Unbeliveable execution on those hammer-ons and pull-offs 5:33 - 5:39, thats a really tough technique he pulled of, very respectfull.

  • effects plsss!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Woooooow!!!!!

  • cesar huesca's version its much better than this one!

  • Gotta love those pinch haramonics :D

  • Best version I've seen _ and I've seen a lot.

  • Wow, unbelievable. Great job!

  • perfect job! awesome

  • fucking robot!

  • no one ever uses a wah pedal when covering this...

  • @d3tach3d Hey bro, check out my cousin's cover of this song, it's truely awe inspiring & heart felt and he uses WAH!! lol :) watch?v=VX0GO0k5BNM

  • 4:28 - 4:32. SO FUCKIN SMOOTH!!

  • I Wish someday i play like you.. I Gotta keep practicing :)

  • Brilliant vibrato.

  • Magnifique , grandiose. Mis a part un pain dans la partie sweeping et une sonorité moins grasse que l'Ibanez Jem de Vai c'est absolument parfait !

  • 18 "guitarists" are just jelous!

  • I almost cried thats how how beutiful u play man

  • essa guitarra é igual a do petrucci.

  • Best version (Hittar Cuesta) = /watch?v=YDje6g1bWd8

  • face melting achieved

  • Is that a John Petrucci sig guitar?

  • Nice cover..

  • Dave Kilminster?

  • Who needs porn....

  • Best cover on YouTube.

  • @TigerLiss you should watch cesar huesca´s version

  • throws the guitar back in the corner.. amazing..

  • you are flawless,amazing

  • awesum mate

  • Nice one Dave.

  • Tocar Steve Vai con la guitarra de John Petrucci jajajajaja xd

  • @conebkn123 So what?

  • Amazing... Cant get any better than this...

  • fuckin-nailed-it.

  • Holy Shit what a nice performance!

  • I'm starting to fall in love with Vai's playing again. I used to like him when I just liked fast players, then I got sick of him. But now that I'm more experienced I can hear the sheer beauty in his style. So much soul.

  • holy shit !

  • how can I do a distortion like that ?? seriously, can someone help me ??

  • Brilliant...

  • GOD DAMMIT, I WANT A JP GUITAR SO BAD :(

  • That was clearly fucking insane.

  • steve vai learn to play to this guy XD

  • keep in mind, the john petrucci models don't have a locking nut like steve's guitar does, he can't go as crazy as steve or it'll go out of tune

  • Comment removed

  • I can say only one thing. He s definately had his Wheetabix !!!! Stunning a 1000 times over.

  • oh god... steven tyler plays the guitar too.... o.O

  • you touch your hair like steve at0:29 (^_^)

    thats absolute great

  • playing a steve vai song with the petrucci's music man, intersting

  • wow, he looks like Jim Root

  • It's a fucking playback, at some parts you can clearly see the desynchronisation, probably Dave recorded the sound before or after the video.

  • @igoriliev16 Yeah huh, I found it kinda odd that in some parts, (when he uses the trem to do vibrato) the sound isn't as "wild" as it should be. Being a guitarist, it's simple to know that even a slight move with the trem will create a big difference in vibrato. I wasn't hearing that with his playing. So, I think you're definitely right.

  • Excellent job man !! you should be cuttin' your own CDs !

  • @sherkhan17 He has cut his own CD's for at least 15 years. He written for guitarist magazine and Guitar techniques in the UK. He is a guitar teacher and one of the best UK guitarists.

  • 1:56 insane

  • it sounds exactly like the original! great job!

  • cara muito bom perfeito ...parabens mesmo

  • I was thinking about learning this until I got to around 1:01 and heard the screams and was like oh nahh I can't do that at all lol

  • @maoribrotha53 just look up a lesson on Pinch Harmonics. there actualy easy to play and they sound awesome.

  • @HybridStoner nah i kno how to do them

  • @HybridStoner I cant :9 i suck

  • @TimmehTRP practice makes perfect

  • De miedo!!!

  • Caramba...... perfeito.

  • man you are damn good....? for us we thought this kind of solo no one will be able to play.... uh...! amazin

  • I actually doubt that Steve himself would be able to sit down in that same chair and do it better on the fly like that..

  • Dave Kilminster playing a Steve Vai song with a John Petrucci signature guitar. I wonder who 's behind the camera...

  • @Philipperodrigues almost forgot he's a very good friend of Guthreie Govan. thumps up for the trivia lol.

  • @Philipperodrigues *Guthrie

  • Jesus, that's insanely good.

All the inflexions and subtleties Vai put into his playing are 100% there Man.

    Encore!!!

  • amazing

  • "Bartender get this man a drink on me!...Now"

  • get me this backing track anyone

  • the best ground cover I have ever seen in my life !

  • steve vai's brother

  • que tal bajada!!! 4:26

  • This guy was touring with Roger Waters too, right?

  • @ak47dragunov yes he was. Roger as a good taste in guitarists a should say. Check out Doyle Bramhall II if you never heard him.

  • @Philipperodrigues * has ( man i have to sleep, too much errors already in two sentences!)

  • I would try this, but from 3:14 - 3:50 fuck no.....

  • :-O

  • very good...

  • who listens to metallica anyway

  • Man!!! Almost like the master... congrats...

  • steve clone lol

  • Very Fucking Nice !

    Congrats...

  • I'm sure the 15 dislikes have their reasons, but it's absolutely no discredit to this man's skill or to Vai himself. Well done brother.

  • i kno its him playing obviously because it would be impossible to overdub someone elses playing that well but why can i here vibrato at parts but he clearly is moving his fingers or the tremolo arm? like at 4:39 - 4:42, i hear it but he only does it for like a third of the actual vibrato.

  • @iZAGGER clearly isn't* minor typo on my part haha

  • that's a petrucci guitar right?

  • you even have the same physical mannerisms in your hands when vai plays.. that just... well weird

  • Such a master steve via...wish I had his genetic's...

  • are you serious 15 dislikes. give me a couple of reasons why you should dislike this

  • For the love of god, that was cleaner than my ass.

  • BRAVO!!! Amazing cover dave!!! Just one of the best i've seen around

  • I just came.

  • Great cover ... but this is one of those songs that you can't play ... only Steve Vai makes it truly magical

  • WTF !!! how speed :O:O:OO:
