Obama might be the first half black president but that sure doesn't change racism. I say 200 more years after many many ppl die off then ppl will finally get past the color barrier. Black folk have to help each more first to really see a big change b/c all politicans are crooks in some way. And Louisiana is full of them including their governor. I didn't cry yesterday. I did cry on election day though. That shit was emotional. Especially during his acceptance speech.

I know things will get better if we all work together. We all have to do our part to make this country better and not just rely on Obama. At least we have a president now that cares about all of the people .

Sorry to hear about your moms though. My moms passed too. I'm sure they both would have been very happy.

my husband teaches elementary school and he said the children (black and white) paid little interest in the TV which was airing obama's inauguration. the first generation to take having a Black president for granted...what a beautiful thing.
