Every driver makes mistakes sometimes and on the other side every driver has mechanical failures (wing falling off, tyre blowout, steering broken etc).

In all cases - once the car is out of control, its just luck if the driver lives or dies.

In Sennas case - it was mechanical failure and unfortunately he had bad luck the way the car hit the wall. Simple as that!

But Senna left a mark on the sport, as a personality. Being a great is not just about winning races, its HOW you win them. Senna did this with finesse and style. Schumacher won by having the best team and his teammates moving over for him (Austria anyone)
