The noise these zombies make really creeped me out the first time I watched this years ago. For all the films failings, such as being a little too serious (who didn't laugh when the zombie exploded into dust?) they got some stuff spot on.

I personally think this is a great movie that nicely portrays vampires not of the typical stereotype of fangs, sucking blood, casting no reflection in mirror etc.? i mean they do suck out energy/lifeforce/youth/souls instead of blood as they are Psi-vampires a.k.a. Psychic vampires or energy vampires which are told in Asian mainly Japanese vampire lore. Do you think those are better "different than the regular" vampires than ones that sparkle in sunlight?
