truffles sell for between a low wholesale of 400 to high retail of 2200. getting ready to invest in inoculated trees for my farm. Have to buy 500 per acre to recieve average of 125lbs after 5-7 years of growth. Low end could be as little as 50lbs per acre but could also be as high 200lbs production / acre. The farm that sells the inoculized trees will buy all your truffles at a price of 500/pound if you dont wish to deal with marketing.
