@manyakols9 It's nice that GM is breathing life inbto that company, remember the 80-90's? lol Wish we could get 'em like that here in the states! It is the Colorado platform.
@nikooliver1 Not exactly, it's another platform, but mostly based on isuzu platform. Even colorado is not exactly the same platform as isuzu d-max, since they use different suspension, not too diferent of course and the bed is a bit larger.
This to me looks like a choice of tyres and tyre pressures . I admit the Isuzu is a great truck. I own a 3.0.td with the prodrive power option and love it to bits. I have driven and bought many landrovers and jeeps in my time, both awesome vehicles too.I can't comment on the Hummers, only ever driven a military one on the road in kuwait. I also believe that if you have a winch you are quick to use it rather than try different techniques to drive out of situations.
@Mabsdisco I agree with you, do not believe in so wonderful, it's more a publicity stunt. At that speed (izuzu d max) is very difficult to maintain adherence. In any difficult slope conditions always makes sure the car with the bass!
This DMax in this video is the Euro-, Aussie- and Thai-version DMax. Stock power and torque respectively are 164 ps and 360 N-m spread over 1800 rpm to almost 3000 rpm.
No Hummer ever won yet on Paris-Dakar Rally (Chile-Argentina leg).... but a lonesome DMax 3.0-litre turbo diesel injection with VGT won 1st-class honours on the Privateer's UTE class beating every other competitor's pick-up made from Europe, Japan, and US, during the 2009 Paris-Dakar Rally. Overall, that DMax won 11th-place in all classes. DMax are notoriously known for long-and-wide flat peak torque over their entire rpm range, which is why other than good power, they have excellent traction
isuzu surely is the best,....it can carry 1200kg load at the back w/o any problem. last time i put the same load on navara,,......it cannot handle it, power lost. i still have it, but just put it to rest, drive to the market etc.
i think navarra cant do this, Isuzu gets a low gear great for climbing
