I liked the DS more... my niece had an DSi, it's okay I guess... and Just a week ago or something, my dad traded in my DS for the DSi XL.(WITH OUT MY CONSENT!!). the big screen is awesome, but now, I can't play my gameboy games on it, nor can I play Guitar Hero, which sucks...majorly.. But I guess the web access makes up for it......maybe

i got a black ds, a blue ds and a light blue dsi and on ds you have action replay theres cheat codes on there where you could do stuff that you can`t do without it and i love dsi i have a sd card for dsi and i took 458 pictures i have 50 pictures of my dsi sd card and i like both and they both have browser like you have internet so good review and awesome so when i was 15 i had a ds and now im 18 its very cool man awesome review ds was offline but then it went back on also COOL and AWESOME

ok look don't be confused, i hate that people say the DSI is an upgrade, it's a different console with backwards compatibility (regular ds games)

it has it's own library which are the dsi exclusive games, is not like the psp go which IS an upgrade

has different ram and processor stop looking at it like an upgrade please

The reason it's bad is because I play those pokemon games, and I know that each generation, they move up to a different game console. And what if the Generation Five games, (or even Heart gold and Soul Silver), are for the DSi ONLY?!?!

Okay, are there going to be new games that are ONLY for the DSi? Or, can you play all Nintendo DS games on a regular DS? because I have the original DS (not even a DS lite, I mean the original one! ^_^) and I don't want to have to buy a whole new DSi just to play the new games when they come out. -_- Because someone said that there might be new games that are ONLY for the DSi. If so.... then that is VERY BAD.

well, I checked out some HG and SS pokemon trailers, and in the description for some video, it says that they are for the DS AND DSi. So I was thinking: this could either mean that they both work on both DS's, OR that one is for DS and the other is for DSi. If that's so, then that means that only one of the games would work on the regular DS. That also means that generation five would be COMPLETELY for the DSi. -_- I just hope that the newer pokemon games will also work on a regular DS.

Yeah, but the DSi is REGION LOCKED. So if you're hoping to order a new game from Japan, you won't be able to play. At all.

I find myself using my blue DS Lite more than either of my DSis. [black and white] I like to play Guitar Hero and the DS Lite its more rugged than the DSi. Also, I have family in Japan. They used to send games that werent out in the UK yet. But I can't play them on my DSis. I've dropped my DS Lite quite a few times. But I'm scared of even bumping my DSi in the wrong place.

That is a lie. But whatever you say. I'm not trying to argue with you. Even if that's true, you still can't play games from other regions. Your DS Lite did not break after one fall. And if it did, then it was faulty and you should of called Nintendo Support. And who the hell drops a DSi 'tens of times'? You must be reckless with your stuff. I've had my DS Lite for a few years, so a drop or two is inevitable.
