I live in rural Jersey, and I've been hearin this sound at night for years now. Its one of the scariest noises i've ever heard.. I tell my friends that there's occult activity in the woods and on certain nights they get together and rape and stab young girls for their virgin blood

That is a fisher cat and they are cute to c but visious. They look like a seal but not. They eat any kind of animal,cats,dogs,rocoons,etc. That is a call and it means a few things and im sure u can guess by now! They do have a bad rep but there realy just like any other wild animal. Rased with humans from a baby could b lovable but in the wild very mean when have to b! THE FISHER CAT! look it up online to learn more. Id rather u find out more b 4 being afraid but keep ur cats and dogs in at nit

I was sitting in my bed bored at 2am and my older brother came in and said "DUDE DO YOU HEAR THAT NOISE" so I took my headphones out and heard it. He went to the window and said there was a big White dog things sitting in the middle of the road. Soo I got out of bed and my annoyingly creaky bed made a huge noise that scared it off, when I got to the window all i saw was a White Thingy running down the street.

We started hearing this noise in the middle of the night a few weeks ago (northeast PA) and it progressively gets closer to the house. Made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up when I first heard it! Feel better knowing it's just a fox and not something being killed. Makes sense cause we saw a red fox a few months ago walk through backyard...

I just heard this noise tonight behind my house, in Madison, NJ. When I went to investigate with a neighbor's flashlight, I found the animal on top of a chain link fence behind my garage. It climbed down and melted into the darkness when it saw me.

I assumed, because it was grey, that it was a raccoon. But I can't find any raccoon calls that resemble that haunting cry. So now I'm wondering if it wasn't a grey fox, which I understand can climb trees, and presumably chain link fences.

A couple of months ago it was very loud, and this went on for about two hours in the middle of the night....he got close enough within range of our floodlights, and sure enough - red fox. But goddamn if it doesnt sound creepy as hell...
