  • 3:53 kicked my ass

  • AMAZING SONG \m/

  • \mm/

  • Why does youtube not have an overdrive button?!

  • Brutal \m/

  • David Gray is a drummer of equal caliber to Flo Mounier. This is a once in a generation kind of musical talent.

  • opeth is boring, akercocke is great....anyway...stop comparing bands

  • I need to buy all their albums. Im tired of having to switch songs on youtube when one ends. Hail Satan lord of darkness, and HAIL MOTHERFUCKING AKERCOCKE!

  • That opening growl isn't human.

  • Demeaned and demonized by God

A god so full of hate

    Futile of hate

He loathes even his best CREATIOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONN!

Seriously one of the best, most sinister death metal song EVER made. And I've heard many tracks.

  • what a joke.

  • i like the first part.

  • Akercocke is way better than opeth imo

  • @GillesGerais How is Akercocke vs. Opeth even a comparison in the first place?

  • Dont compare apples to oranges. Both bands are good in their own ways

  • @GillesGerais comparing them is stupidity. they're not even similar, but are both unique and great though.

  • @GillesGerais

oh fuck yeah. Opeth who?..... kidding.

  • @GillesGerais Yeah I don't think making your songs pretentiously long necessarily makes you a better band. Seems to be what Opeth fans think.

  • @UnyieldingDefiance opeth eats shit compared to this band

  • @GillesGerais doucher, they arent competing

  • @UnyieldingDefiance that sounds like an overgeneralization of opeth fans. and its based on your disapproval of the band, which is another overgeneralization. that all of their songs are long and are that way because they are pretentious. as if no other bands have"long" songs. or as long as theirs? or even LONGER?! are they all pretentious too? i dont get why everyones debating opeth verse ackercocke anyway. both are good. but i have to say, opeth has way better clean vocals / melodies.

  • @natruto I agree with you mostly. I see very few similarities, musically, between the two bands, and I like them both, although I have my own preference. I love to listen to Opeth, but sometimes Akercocke just hits the spot for me.

  • @natruto No, Opeth has SOFTER clean vocal melodies. Akercocke's break up the musical flow while keeping with the general mood/theme. This is why, to someone like myself (and presumably @UnyieldingDefiance), Akercocke are more convincing and more BADASS.

  • @Rhademanthus Way more BADASS

  • @GillesGerais

I think they approch progressive extreme metal in with different visions that is all

  • @FREESHADY Opeth's vision: "Ehhh I like metal but I reaaallyyyyy like 70's prog too!!!" Akercocke's vision: "Fuck. Blast. Kill."

  • @GillesGerais you cant even compare douchebag...

  • @GillesGerais

its like comparing the doors and Hendrix, they are both very good to me, and its all r&r

  • Yes indeed!!! \mm/

  • lmao chino moreno. This is full of MTV douche bags.

  • Liking great bands like Akercocke and Opeth shouldn't limit you to having such a narrowminded view on things. Deftones are focused on what they do much like these guys.

  • Focused on making money and using 1% of their music knowledge.

I'm sorry but technically Deftones are narrowminded because they play for a mediocre media and don't explore their whole abilities

  • You can't be sure of that at all. If Deftones really wanted to make a shit-load of money they'd go full-blown garbage. I don't find much Deftones interesting, but I certainly appreciate they do their own thing and they seem to do it well.

  • fuck you david grey is the best fucking drummer around bitch

  • and you should hang yourself up

  • innovative, sharp and great

    whats not to like

  • woot accessible death metal

  • that "brootal" bullshit gets annoying

  • Fuck yeah it does.

Honestly, does is matter how brutal things are if they're innovative? That sounds pussy, but it's true. Akercocke is shitloads different from the rest of this whole extreme metal concept, which makes them truly unique and amazing at the same time!

btw dude, your names awesome. Chino's the shit.

  • sounds like some suffocation influence yet i doubt they would admit it.

  • i think they would admit it, theyve admitted to liking suffocation before

  • They definitely mention Suffocation's influence on them in the bands autobiography on their website.

  • @hellraiser66972 and also frank zappa

  • they have a badass drummer

  • this band´s fuckin´ great. i have nothing more to say

  • Fuckin brutal!!!!

  • i never thought theyd be this metal

    this is brootal as hell

  • What year did this album come out? It sounds like it should come after Anticrist but I don't think they've done anything sinse that album and that was 2006.

  • 2004

  • this was 2005, choronzon was 2003

  • @Dwightman666 This album--their fourth--came out in 2005. Antichrist is the most recent, coming out in 2007.

  • @Dwightman666 Words That Go Unspoken, Deeds That Go Undone from 2005, and Antichrist is from 2007 :P

  • Well, now I am into a LOT more death metal...And I'm STILL a cut-throat akercocke fan. Fuck yes.

  • great guitar tone and production, damn.

  • that dudes stash cracks me up every time. what a cool person he must be and such an awesome bane

  • fuck yea brother, you rock as well

  • great band!!!

  • orale pinche omar.....kick ass band

  • Y'know, it's strange: In all of my years as a PURE metal fan *coughs* (nothing ending with a core), the only few death metal bands I got into were Gojira, Meshuggah, Opeth (old Opeth is pretty death), Hate eternal, and, of course, Vader and a few others. But now i fucking LOVE Akercocke. They take a new perspective on Satan that Dimmu Borgir did NOT take. And to be honest, i like Akercocke's music a bit more, along with their perspective...That's just MY oppinion. LONG LIVE AKERCOCKE!

  • opeth, gojira & akercocke in my opinion are a new genre there sound is so different and thier all unique

  • i agree with you. Akercocke are the bollocks...they add a certain degree of suave to what is basically a fully bearded and gloriously filthy genre :)

Do Meshuggah really count as death metal though? i always placed them somewhere between Tool and Dillinger...just my opinion though

  • I've been in to them for a few years, but only listened to their anticrist album. For years, I thought death metal was a genra and sound only made for the years after 2000. But now I've metured musically, the old death metal has a pleasing tone to my ears. I love Acercocke because the flote in between the 2 fazes of death metal, and mix it in with some black metal influences as well. Beutifull sound.

  • Even though they use one of those classic riffs in the beginning, it still sounds new.

  • awesome, let a bit of satanism in to your life!

  • has anyone here seen the film INTERVIEW WITH THE VAMPIRE if thy have dnt this band remind u of the characters lol

    i love em

    tp bk people

  • pure anger,,,good job.

  • This band is just amazing.

    Akercocke are talented

  • shame youve only got one comment, well 2 now

  • i actually love this song! Quality riff at the beginning and the vocals are just sooo METAl. Great band.
