hey guys all nile does is use exotic intervals of the harmonic minor scale but they just shred through them really fast with blast beats occupying shit, i would say that they are a progressive band with a unique theme and unique in thier respect that thier not just a technical death band that shreds your face off. i have to admit i love listening to anything super fast

I agree with your breakdown, as far as the guitars go, because I'm not a guitarist. As a drummer, I know what's going on, and it's plain to hear that it's basically impossible to play. I will never forget the first time I heard this song. I was just learning about Nile and their surgical proficiency. When I heard this song, I had chill bumps, and just thinking about it, that same feeling is coming back. This is the most impressionable metal song I have ever come across. I'm trying to decide between this song and "Kafir" on NIle's newest CD in terms of the better album opener. I will never forget hearing either of them for the first time. Anyway, I'll concede that this song has the "movie theater" epic introduction and buildup. I think this song is more uniquely Nile, and the lyrics are incredibly interesting. I'll give you this song in terms of more "Nile," but I think Kafir is a great song. Kafir has a more raw and heavy influence, and the riffs at the end are extremely aggressive.
