  • @Yo98Mommas lol, well if you want to get technical you can always use my alternate method of measuring. "Smidgeons"

  • I didn't know "pretty good" was a number in the metric system

  • how much for it ($)?

  • @adrianreborn Hey if you check out the video I do have a step by step how to make it from start to finish. The link is in the info section. Then new one looks much better scale wise and detail

  • How do you make the foam appear so smooth? Did you sand it with sand paper? And by the way, your helmet looks absolutely amazing! I can see how much effort you put into this! Thanks for your help. :)

  • @APK1909 Hi thank you for the kind comment. As for the smoothness I did sand it. When sanding careful not to chip away the foam. It sands better in certain directions. You can tell when the foam starts to sand differently. Thanks for watching!

  • Someone should make a pyramid head smiley face emoticon!!!

  • @quetzalel lol that would be a first for sure!

  • wow really great

  • @wolfcookieo9 thank you for the great comment!

  • couldnt you make a video where you showed how to make it instead of talking about how to make it? it could be much easier because i cant hear what you are saying so! but anyway the helm is so COOL! can you try to make the one from SH Homecoming? the costume there is really epic! it could be nice tó try to make that one! :D

  • Dude, that is the best Pyramid Head helmet I have seen ever. xD

    /envy

  • @HatsuneMikuRox Thank you! thanks for watching

  • how come nobody ever uses the original desighn for pyramid head, i'm shure its much easier than the movies desighn

  • @hotaru1able Not sure. I chose this one because I like it better.

  • @Gig540 i dont mind your choice, but i'm just saying in general how come nobody ever does the original desighn, in my opinion its scarier and its also a bit easier looking to make

  • @Gig540 what did you use for shoes/blocks to stand on?

  • @PurpleRaincoatStudio I used 10" Foam blocks t stand on and cut out to shape of a shoe. Then 2 PVC Couplings and cut in half. One for the button on ankle and one on top to go around back of the leg. Then strapped them to my leg. And ran 2 straps from the foam block to around my shoes.

It worked but after wearing all day a Dragoncon it actually wore into the side and back of my legs. Left a pretty big mark on my legs. Just now healing up. I need to do something different these hurt to bad

  • @Gig540 What my friend did was get a pair of rain boots and glue I think it was Styrofoam cut into the shape of a sole onto the bottom and fill in the gaps on the side and then spray paint it black . Its easier on your feet and legs with rain boots.

  • @TarlZaralka Yeah your right that is a good idea using the rain boots. It didnt even cross my mind. You could wear those all day with no issues. I will have to give that one a go. This costume needs the extensions to make you taller. It just gives a better effect I think. Thanks for the idea!

  • @Gig540 Always glad to help others who are making a costume, I have actually been thinking about making a Pyramid Head costume but not sure if I should make the sword from styrofoam or try using something heavier that I know can take a few dings or any minor mishaps that happen at conventions.

  • @TarlZaralka I agree on the sword. I was debating on using wood or foam. I though wood because it would last longer. But that would require a saw and with some detailed cuts would take longer. So that is what made me go with foam. Check out my other video where I used foam for my sword. I could make the sword and add details, cuts make changes and all with very little time. Using foam is very forgiving and easy to work with. Really dont need any special tools to work with it. Plus it is light

  • @Gig540 True and I don't particularly want to go out and buy more power tools lol. Do they make Styrofoam that long tho? Because we have I think one or 2 hobby stores here where I live and most of their Styrofoam is in shapes like cylinders, squares, circles, things like that.

  • @TarlZaralka Actually they do. You can grab that at Lowes or Home Depot. They have 4' x 8' sheets. Also in different thickness's. I would check it out and see which one would work best for your application. I like using foam since it is very easy to work with and sands very nice. Good luck!

  • @Gig540 I will have to go and check that out, thank you for the help.

  • Sweet, it will look cool on my freind because he is taller and built similar to the character...well on the thin side, but you know wthat I mean. His freinds dad does construction and stuff, so a lot of the foam material stuff you use he can get for free and such, so he is fortunate for that.

  • Your son is lucky, I think my buddy is useing your video to make his for halloween this year, he is totally stoked lol

  • @wowisfunyo ahh nice! a very cool costume for sure. I am about to upload an update video on how it looks fully completed. I have recently made some changes to the head and the skirt. Also made a neck piece. should be posting here soon.

  • that looks fucking sick

  • DUDE!!! SICK!!!!! you should make them and sell them

  • perfect DUDE nice

  • Thank you!

  • @Gig540 thank you you vid helped alot

  • @Gig540 haha i made mine waaaay different than the movie but it is awesine is mad of cardboard it is about 20-25 pounds it is heavy

  • @tman1151 Ah nice! Yeah same here but mine does not weight that much lol. I did have to add weight to it to balance the nose from dipping to much. But over all not to bad. I am working on my second PH right now. I made some changes to it to look more exact and correct to the person wearing it. Should look good when done. Going to have to get rid of this one now

  • Holy socks!!! that helmet looks EPIC!!!!!

  • dude, that head looks fucking awesome

  • Hey thank you. It was very easy to make and was a lot of fun making it too.

I just kick myself for not doing a video at the very beginning. Would make much more sense than trying to explain after it was built. Ah well. I will on next one

  • WONDERFUL.

    REALLY.

I will surely use this video to do my halloween's costume, it's the best pyramid head mask i've seen on the web, fantastic.

  • Hey thank you! Feel free to ask questions I will try to help you out best I can.

I will be posting the rest of costume as soon as it stops raining and is nice outside.
